Now, as most people know and some witnessed, i brought this saturday night at the sixfields meet. The drive home was fine, £30 filled her up and i couldn't see anything out of the back thanks to all the spares Op lobbed in with the car

Getting used to non PAS and cable clutches again though

Sunday:

Stored most of the spare parts, and chucked what i didn't need in the back of the soon to be scrapped escort gti, put FRST rear seats in and a passenger doorcard so it all matches and is all mint (cheers to robxr2i1985!)

Yesterday:

Re-attatched and rewired the rear speakers in the car with the right size terminals
Ripped out the fluffy insualtion stuff behind the filler cap as that helps it rot
Changed the Drivers side Brake bulb as it blew
Tinted the rear indicators again, as there were signs it had been attempted before so i done it properly (with the help of Stu_si) and it looks pukka pics to follow
Noticed the boot lid has a patch of touched in paint

Was driving along chasing rob in his Xr2i and a Xr3i (but i was 3 up ) and heard a banging noise from the rear, so i was like hmmmmm not good and it turned out the spoiler had been siliconed onto the boot on the bottom fixings, and had come off so its now sporting electrical tape over the holes in the boot and the spoiler is in the back of the car. On the hunt for a spoiler today as i could do with one, or a bootlid as the one on there is not 100% amazing

Impressed with it so far minus that slight bodywork hiccup

To do:

Get filler cap re done as paint has blistered DONE
Get the drivers side rear arch re done as it has a 1 inch rust patch DONE
Get a new bootlid/spoiler (asap!)
Maybe wheels DONE

Yeah i am happy, need to sort out a bootlid, spoiler and the bodywork, the idle thing as it is sure to pee my neighbours off needing to warm it up and clean it

found a spoiler of an Si for £20 posted on ebay, so when i get an email confirming how he wants payment, that should be winging its way over to me

Balls to FRST tat on it. It's an XR and it should stay an XR! Blue bump strips, original XR decals on the boot and standard black spoiler for starts. Just make it a 100% standard car. No chavness for once on one!

Op: i wasn't complaining, the speaker was a 10 min job, i was going to do the lights anyway and the spoiler is not the biggest deal ever and i know she's called sybil, name hasn't changed

Scotty: Don't worry, no RS stuff going on there, it has the pop outs and interior but outside will stay the same.

I hope to get some hammerite and wet and dry soon, so i can try my hand at rust prevention. Start off with the battery tray as thats small and then i am going to try my hand at the front and rear valances

dude, screw the frst interior, the drivers doorcard is warped, stick to the zolda, as Scott said, XR2i is all about the blue trim, that blue stripe on the doorcards is where its at! oh yeah!

missing it, but im glad its gone to a good home. i know you'll look after it better than i did. (lazy) but at least i was shit hot on the oil changes!

needs a cam, cvh's go after 30k apparently. cam it up.

very nice car, there is something about the 1.6 2i i still miss mine there more fun than the 16v engined cars its more fun with the all or nothing charecter of the cvh
id still have mine now if it hadnt started to break down every week even tho it wasnt used that often, saying that mine did have 120 odd tho on the original engine.

look after it, its a future classic that will only go up in value
