After driving Fiesta's since i passed my test back in July 06, i decided it was finally time for a change, and to get something slightly more grown up  I picked this up £2300, with 10 months MOT, and 6 Months tax, FSH, and a recent clutch. Needs a couple of bits but i couldn't be happier for what i paid.    It's a 2.0 non turbo with around 170hp, Drives sooo nicely Fast and comfortable, and feels even lower than the fiesta! One final parting shot

I'd rather be able to drive a car in all weathers... not just tickle it because its wet.. so RWD is out for me.. I wouldnt mind if it werent for using B roads constantly.. Plus I'm not out of the stage of FWD powah yet  But have fun my mates turbo one was scary as fook!

Just had my second drive in the snow with it, sooo much better this time now i've a little more confidence. I even had a little play with the back end round my street corners, as it doesn't really go unless provoked RWD FTW!I know what you mean about the turbo issue, everyone i've told about it has asked if it's a turbo and i've had to dissappoint them. However i'm very tempted to V6 it ( just scroll down the page) once i'm working out on site and on a proper wage

v6 is good and all but you cant really justify it when its more expensive than a turbo conversion. Sign up to mr2oc.co.uk, is a really good owners club I think the v6s typically make somewhere in the region of 200-220 hp and are an expensive conversion, whereas the tubby is 260hp as standard, a few basic mods will take it to just shy of 300 for less than a grand including the conversion. im just waiting for a written off turbo donor . |

I must admit, the 3sgte is also a worthy transplant, especially with the reason's you've listed. I'm still tempted by V6 though, although much undepowered these days for a 3.0, i like the idea of reliability, and low end torque. With my job, i should be travelling about the world, and getting paid lots to do it in the near future so fingers crossed i'll have the cash to throw at it. I just fancy something a little different to the norm, if i was to have a turbo, it'd of made more sense to buy one straight away, as i've quotes that are actually cheaper than n/a! ( although only tpft and i'm fully comp) I've posted a couple of times on MR2OC, but haven't quite go used to the site just yet.

Been spending a little, and this is the result  K&N panel filter, Only took me an hour to fit  DIN tray cup holder, Also put My CD player in.  Sparco Gearknob i had in the Si, and a new leather gaiter from an mr2oc member.  Tyres, which have transformed it, grips so well now!  Clear repeaters, and a fresh set of fog lights  old ones, i mainly used a hacksaw and drill to remove them, i love rusty bolts   some daft pictures that i like

its looking good for mr2 owners on fsi lol. i wonder if im gona get raped for this but ive had my mr2 since jan 09. n like u dude, i jus wanted a change from the norm and more importantly Fords. goin jap seemed rite, all my mates are jap infested so if u cant beat em join em. plus i really wanted rwd. so this came up trumps.    i got it standard apart from the blue flame full zorst n k&n filter. ive since fitted Enkei Racing alloys which i refurbed myself and got black smoked side lights/indicators and ive tinted my front fogs as i dont use them. in the wet its lethal, had sum fun around islands lol. but in the dry its handling is extremely gud . i was surprised. all the best with your mr2 matey
