unfortunatly the bolt in cage wont add much stiffness. is it a bolt to existing place ? bolt to existing place with strengthing plate or bolt to a fabricated mount? |

as a minimum for safety you need reinforcement plates welded to the floor as the last thing you want is to roll it and the cage punts holes in the floor. as for door bars. personally i would. but some people bitch and moan that its a pig to get in and out of. depends how much of a sacrifice you want to make really. ![]() Ben. |

Be nice to see how much power they add by doing it with the maf etc But as you have the omex then why not use that with the gsxr? |

just spent the day scraping out some of the sound deadening, removed 3.5kg of the stuff just from the front so far with the boot and rear seat area to do must be 8-10kg in total. that will go some way to counter the weight of the cage. ![]() |

Good work, looks like a real nasty job though, will it all be ready for the 27th Feb? |

27th is still (only) 6 weeks away!, just got to paint the cage and weld on the plates, and bolt it in, but currently waiting for another manifold plate so i can fit the throttle bodies. There is still a good chance |

Removed the rest of the sound deadening stuff today think there was about 7kg in the end. Also welded in the strengthening plates for the roll cage, these must be two of the worse jobs. Wouldn’t want to fit a cage into a decent car after all the scratches Ive caused ![]() ![]() ![]() |
