Hi, Well someone ran up my arse in the escort, its written off needless to say. So I needed to buy a car ASAP as I need to be mobile, so bought this, its a 1.9 Turbo D, pretty happy with it, AMAZING on fuel it really is. Bit too low at the back really, but it's only an hour job so will do it some time soon. Going to stage 1 tune it soon, so will let you know how it goes. It's basically to see me through untill my next car which is going to be an ibiza cupra or a uk DC2. Here are some pics.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It came with the boot lid glass tinted but I peeled it off..... ![]() Comments welcome Emlyn |

I like that, looks good How easy are these to tune and what sort of gains can be found ? Can you run these on chip fat ? Is it a S16 Rep ? Scott |

Cheers mate, It's a sport so comes with those skirts and stuff, and its got gti-6 half leathers in I think. There are 92bhp standard, but quite a bit of torque. Adjusting the fuel, and turning the boost up can get you 120bhp apparanlty but you need to get rid of the airbox they say, mine allready has a carbon intake. With a FMIC and more tuning I think they get 135ish BHP and loads of torque. Thanks Terry, yeah it is a shame but hey-ho. Emlyn |

Not sure on mpg after tuning. I think all the 3doors have the bucket type seats, but some are half leather. The seats in the base models are totally different. It's great for a runaround and still pretty fun, it feels very similar to my old 205 to drive (obv not the engine). But I mean round corners and stuff, and the suspension setup doesn't seem to have changed much from the 205 undernieth either. Emlyn |

Love these ![]() So so tempted to get one sometime next year.. as ive been told they are awesome on fuel.. my mates had the buckety type seats... but they were full leather ![]() Engine wise, they sh*t all over the older ford diesels for econemy and power ![]() ![]() |

Oh they're not gti-6 seats, but they look like xsi seats. nice example though. ive seen some of the hdi's obliterate gti-6's on 1/4's !!! torques insane with what they can produce. |

As with most tuned diesels... if you boot them, they'll give you petrol consumption. If you don't floor it, they'll still give diesel mpg ![]() Infact because of the advantages of a tuned deisel making more torque, and because the torque is low in the rev range.. they can make better mpg (if not booting it) because the torque will get you moving with less revs and less hassle ![]() |

Thanks peeps, Yeah they are 205 rims mate. All the 3 doors seem to have very similar seats to me bar fabric and pattern. Ry- I just love my mates old cupra, 215bhp easily and just a really fun car with loadsa potential. It is a close on though as I love an old teg too ![]() The mpg will get worse I'm sure but will still be impressive cruising I bet And yeah it feels like its purely torque that move these cars, it's nothing like ragging a 16v petrol engine Cheers Emlyn |

Thanks guys ![]() Yeah I have driven both and love both of them, teg is far better handling in standard form than the cupra, but hard to squeeze more power out of it without going mad with money. Cupra is reletively cheap to get mental bhp and with a few quid spent on the susp they also handle better. Cupra is just far better as a road car, teg is pretty full on if you know what I mean. Plus I will be starting racing next year so less of a need to risk my life and licence on country lanes anymore. Really tough choice though, love em both ![]() Emlyn |
