Finialy picked up the car tuesday, just took some pictures for you all. I love new projects, this is my 3rd toy to play with ![]() Its a 1.6 si. 2 owners from new, me being the third now, new clutch, whole new zorst, new tyres, 80k on the clock and loads of history to back it up. Well impressed Anywho heres the pics ( sorry about crap quality, will get some better ones soon) Washed and polished it as you do ![]() Then after that it'll be usual case, some alloys (Ford ones), lowering and thats probly it tbh. I want to keep it pretty standard and subtle. Comments welcome! Matt |

Thanks! I must admit, i love the colour, looks amazing when the sun hits it. And yeah the cambelt is ready, had a look earlyer. Also me thinking its a rattly tensioner was wrong. Its the water pump! But still they will get sorted. Its not being ran round yet so its ok at this time. So im going to do the water pump and cambelt at the same time, saves some hassle. Upto yet its still standard, but the week after next i will more than likely change the bottom arms first. Also my mate has an si with a 2 litre on webers that he is selling. so im having the strut brace off it as its like new. Still convincing him to sell me the lowering springs and rs side skirts ect. Have to wait and see. Ill keep you updated! |

Well a bit of a plan change, rst rims are for sale now and the idea of cams and stuff has gone to pot. Oh well, i will just focus on the mot bits and the details for the time being |

Well what a day. I went to change the cambelt and water pump and realised how much work was involved and the lack of time as i was using my mates garage, and didnt end up doing either. Changed the driver side bottom arm as it was pooped and thats it. The other side is fine but i got a new one anyway. So still got the other bottom arm, cambelt, and aux belt and water pump. And to top it all off my mum not let me go on her insurance so theres no way on earth i can afford to insure it! Gutted.. Looks like its bye bye to the fiesta sooner than i thought! I dont know weather to still change the stuff and mot it or just sell it with the parts. Not bad to say ive spent about 130 on parts and aint fitted them... Great stuff ![]() ![]() |

Well if you can't afford the insurance on your own, your better getting a smaller engined car and build up some no claims bonus otherwise your gonna be paying high insurance for a long while. |

Whatttt? That makes no sense ![]() And yeah i suppose your right, older cars are more suspect to getting stolen and broken into, shame tho as older cars basically rule! Someone is going get a steal off me when i sell it. meh |
