Personally I wouldn't of bothered when other exterior modifications are needed first, like 2i/RST arches and skirts. I also hate dark tints, but that's my opinion.

As far as I know..... there are no window tinting places which do legal ones anymore, well not round here.. as the lowest % they can get is still over the legal limit. Saying that, I am tinting the pickups windows at the lowest % I can get

I dont think thats true for all over the country but not sure...i wasn't a fan of tints before but i'm considering a very slight tint eventually.

A guy on my car club has just had 35% i think all round on his new audi....slightly too dark but looks mint

The rules are always changing for cars made from the date of the new regulations, so try not to compare it to someone elses motor, could still be illegal on yours.

Not sure of all the differences myself!

I believe cars which rolled out of the factory after 2007 aren't allowed B-Piller forward tints at all

Its not advised, as most modern cars come with tints from the factroy, so by adding what would be a legal tint on to them actually puts it into the illegal catagory!

I bet it'll get annoying if you get pulled all the time? Did they just ask about ur tints or go on checking all your other mods are legal and insured? That would drive me mad....i remember someone i think on here saying they got pulled 20 times in a certain car

No mine are way Illegal, they have to let a min of 75% and mine only let 25% through.

The Bike cop that pulled me was just doing people for tints, just checked my windows, asked me if i had insurance and gave me a £30 ticket, no producer and no get a stamp from a mot'er! Just advised i removed them!

what is the MOT stamp thing about....to prove they have been removed?

He only asked if you had insurance cos he didn't believe someone your age could get insured

Doncaster is very tight for window tints.

I drove around my 5 door fiesta the other year, with basically black tints all round, all over the country, only place to get hassle was doncaster
