well i thought i had best start a little thread about my car ![]() she is a 106 1.1 zest2, 80k on the clock, fully taxed and tested, and its blue ![]() i paid £200 for her, and so far have spent £40 on tyres (fronts had 0.4mm of tread, compared to the 1.6mm minimum ![]() she drives quite well, i think the brakes might need new pads/shoes, and the handbrake needs adjusting, but apart from that its pretty much (mechanically) ok. i dont plan to do much to it, except the normal air filter/breathing mods, and maybe lower it 30mm/40mm. i find it handles quite well (have nothing to compare it to though) the gear change is good, the clutch is suprisingly light, the only moan i have is my size 11 shoes sometimes dont hit the pedal i want, as they are all very close together. externally, its in quite bad shape. the pics dont show as much because of the rain, but the roof looks like someone has wirebrushed it, there is a big dent in the drivers door (which doesnt open because its dropped), the door trims are missing both sides, 1 hub cap is missing, and i have no aerial ![]() the best bit though, is the entry system. drivers door will open, but wont close because of the hinges, so thats staying locked untill i have a replacement. the passenger door lock is broke, some thieving barsteward tryed getting in and has smashed it to peices, so i cant use the key in there. however, the boot is fine ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() any ideas you think would look good gimme a shout ![]() |

that's great first car for the money! ![]() You'll get used to the pedals, im size 11 and i'm fine with them. You're right about the handling, my girlfriends 1.1 handles better than my previous Fiesta that was lowered on 35mm Eibach springs with decent tyres in my experiance. As long as it's mechanically sound ![]() |
