Alex, I was thinking more towards dimming the rev counter as warning lights won't be on constantly to be blinding Terry
I dont think he cares that it'll be blinding me
Update timeSunday morning started off with me going to grab some essentials
Coolant, Sand paper, Soldering Iron and some Well Seal
One of the first things I did was solder my buttons and connections back onto my monitor! I had to cut them off to fit the bottons back into the new carbon face ( not pics) I wanted to be able to keep a half accurate eye on the water temps as my standard water gauge is playing up!
I also used a bit of the sand paper just to clear up the face/area where I was going to be refitting the new core plug
Monitor refitted into its home and connected up ( note the LED's are missing from the sides as they broke when the old face broke)
I then was given my new core plug(s) by one of the MTS lads so i was ready to start fitting one these bad boys! I opted for a spare as I have a habit of fucking things up lol
New plug refitted! What an awkward piece of crap that was to fit! As you can see in the pic I had to give it a love tap on the inside with an extension bar as the socket I was using to get it in nice and evenly was awesome until I needed to use the hammer!!
Eventually it went in and sat snugly in it's new home!
I then refitted everything - engine mount, boost hoses, air filter and oil return pipe! added water and coolant and fired her up
This is my view
appy
She is running and now though! Fans cut in and out as they should with no leaks, so I'm a happy bunny
