Right ive been looking for a new fiesta si for a while to make into a 2ltr sleeper 1.1 look alike but after looking for one for a while i found one for sale at £795 and went to pick it up friday, it looked good condition from the pics on the ad but when i went to birmingham to get it it was basically mint so to be honest i dont think i can strip it back to 1.1 looks...its just way to clean. Same goes for my friends.lol he wanted to do the same with his XR2i 16v but when we picked that up the same night from Cannock in Staffs it was just to nice to do it. In the end i paid £450 for it so im over the moon, my mate ending up paying £400 for his.

My mate and me share a house so basically this will prob be a double project thread.lol

Also decided to start modifying it this afternoon as ive bought toys for it already!

First thing thisafternoon was to lower in by 60mm all around, handles so much better now and im really happy with the looks of it! sits really low on 14's

Im taking the 2ltr out of my escort 2moz, will rebuild it over the next week maybe two and then fit it over the weekend! Also i bought my old Escort mk6 Rs2000 wheels of my mate back today for £10 one needs a refurb and one needs tyres, so im going to refurb them all white after the engine is done then fit them. 3 weeks tops i hope

Right been busy busy over last two days!!!!

I started to strip my 1.6 ready for the beast on friday but it started to rain hard...so i carryed on slowly but with sod all progress pics as i didnt want to stand around taking pictures.lol

but she is in running and holy crap its one hell of a diffrence...that diesel box is unreal with the 2ltr on it.

Well while i was at it i decided to do another couple of things and so far the engine bay is as follows.lol

HO inlet manifold
2ltr injectors
2ltr throttle body - had butterfly removed and it all polished
de-cat
Full stainless exhaust
Full alloy induction piping bringing the filter right down in front of the gear box...no ruber on the inlet now.lol
cleaned out and de-tarted the inlet and the intake pipes into the engine so...in theory smoother air flow
had my injectors ultra-sonic cleaned at a place local to me - £105 but buggering hell the are like new - if anyone doesnt know what this is i will explain it will just take ages so i havent bothered.lol

Only pics i have at the moment of my conversion as i said whether hasnt been best until this morning.lol

Also got a pic of the 1.8 sandwich played i used in comparison with the 1.6 one. theres a massive diffrence!




o yea removed the restrictive EGR system and used a spare escort manifold with no restriction on it. pluged the vaccum on it back into itself so completly out of use

Seeing as i had the bumpers in the garden and the engine is in i thought it was worth making a sleeper for a week or so for a laugh plus it would be rude not to !!!

the engine is amazing it seems to just pull and pull...wish it was like that in my escort...its amazing what a bloody good clean will do!

so on went the 1.1 bumpers and my favorite touch...the "classic" badge...its so much fun.lol people dont half look shocked when you pull past them Im going to keep it looking like this for a couple of weeks until i get XR2i sideskirts then im going to put it all back on together

Also i was well shocked with the condition of the fenders under the bumpers...look at the metal below the bumpers in these pics...no rust!!! i loves it

Engine looks fairly dirty at the moment but once i get time no im going to take diffrent parts of and polish them up as i now have a polish block and wheel off a friend and change all niggly anoying bits!
