New Car! Basically mums gearbox gave up, so i gave her my escort, and found this mint xr3i. I pick it up next saturday so pics then! I tried finding the autotrader pics but its been taken off!  1987 Escort Xr3i Full Ford Service History New Battery 92500 miles mot til 17th may 2009 tax for 2 months pioneer cd player belts and full service at 87000 1500 miles since last mot standard and mint! Just needs the spoiler painting, but i will leave this car as it is!

90 spec interior please. zolda trim  what alloys has it got? lattace? always liked mk3/mk4's. we had a black mk3 xr3 and a red mk4 '3i when i was small. both got written off. |

i had planned on pics but by the time i got home from wiltshire it was off autotrader!  Not lattice alloys, but all will be revealed next weekend! i didn't even take a pic on my phone

she is white with the original red tramlines down the sides and red escort xr3i decal on the back wheels are white to, so keeping it clean should be fun  only 3 days now

*borat* Very nice, how much!! lol sounds gd mate, i wanted an xr3i till i seen how much insurance was on them lol my dad had 2 mk3 xr3is 1 blue 1 nd 1 black 1 with RS alloys nd RS1600i spots with wooden interior nd sum other sexy stuff in it. said they wer the best cars hes ever had. |

thanks mate and yeah i have wanted one or a while, but now i have 3 years no claims insurance is not ball rapingly high! like the cabby which was £107 a month TPFTonce i get the tiny rust spot removed, and the arch and spolier repainted, i will get it rust proofed and leave it be

leave it standard. get the spoiler repainted, two small rust spots treated and painted, and the underneath rust proofed. Then just drive around I think if i changed anything it would ruin it |

Veeeery nice! My friends older brother used to have one of these, we used to clean it and then make him drive us round town in it all summer

i took about 20 last night with robs xr2i so they should be up tonight. thanks for the comments guys, i think for £650 its a bit of a bargain! as i speak, the alternator belt is starting to squeak outside....... but i have the plans in my head: 1: Get a black spoiler as the painted one is cracked and originally had a black one PURCHASED 2: Service: Parts purchased yesterday for £61.85 DONE 3: Get new tyres on the back as the ones on there were made in 1994! 4: Tidy the parts on the body that need tidying 5: Sort exhaust blow DONE 6: Investigate Alternator belt squeak! DONE 7: Rewire the stereo DONE 8: Rustproofing 9: Decent Alarm! Drive it around, i know if i do anything to it, i will ruin it so i will leave it standard. Getting a good reaction of people/other drivers so i don't want to ruin that. It makes it worthwile when you pull up at a pub and a 80 year old man comments on the condition of the car and the original state and please leave it like that. It makes owning an old car worthwile when things like that happen I'm sure keeping it clean will also be fun! |
