Im thinking rip the engine out 1st and install the Si engine.Get that out of the way asap. Only thing im thinking is its not going to be a straight swap for the engine is it due to the loom where it connects to the interior loom.Im guessing im gonna have to gut the inside and swap for the interior Si loom aswell. Haha i think i need a week off work |

Does it have power steering ? ![]() Looks minty tho, nice find ![]() |

Nope it has no power steering so i will be swapping the whole lot over from the old Si. I've already made a start on stripping it, Removed... Radiator,Coolant, headlights and unplugged most of the loom and tucked it out of the way. BTW the green shizzle is hammerite rust remover gel. |

Looks a mint shell! Good lck with the conversion!, IMO if it's a route you'd be going down anyway, why not try and source a 2.0 for it, and throw it instead of the 1.6? ?Just whilst everything is in bits. Any plans regarding styling as of yet? The modded Si bumper staying? |

You dont see many mk3 shells in that condition ![]() Just a quick thought do you need power steering? Apparently you can get a non assisted "quick rack" which helps with steering response not sure where you get them from and for how much but worth a thought. I considered looking into it when my powersteering rack failed the mot as I will probably be mostly using my car for track days. Anyway good luck with the project. ![]() |

you could always go with a sportKA rack and SportKA lower arms to give you a bit wider track ![]() |

The plan will be to fit the 1.6 engine i have. When it eventurally dies ill throw in a 2.0 silvertop. My XR2i is going to be the Zetec Turbo fun car. This white mk3 will be cleaned up and fitted with XR2i front bumper, skirts and arches with the rear bumper from my Si *the one with those grills*. BTW picking up a nice shiney new set of Eagle con rods this weekend ![]() |

Some pics of what ive been up to today... Discovered some good news today. The ecu pin setup for the 1.1 is the same as the Si so im really hoping i wont have to swap the entire interior loom  Once the engines out id like to have a wash n scrub in the bay and give it a fresh coat of diamond white. |

Good to see it underway ![]() With regards wiring, SMO on fiestaturbo did a similar conversion, putting an XR2 1.8 inbto a 1.1, might find a bit more info if you can dig his thread up, was quite comprehensive iirc. |
