Things have took a turn for the worse, MOT time!! ![]() We'll not a surprise it failed, on a lower arm, and worse of all steering rack, its had a knock in it for years now its failed, so will cost £90 plus VAT and fitting. Also it has been leaking oil like an old bus! It started on the track day, it appears the main seal has gone on the engine and to change its a gearbox, clutch out job, half a days labour. Finally the rear shock or roll bar is making a hell of a noise like something has come off!!! All this after I treat it to some new tyres and a dam good polish!! ![]() Also the tax has ran out. Options are do i keep it and spend a fortune or leave it and sell it?? |

i'd work out exactly what it'd cost to keep it, perhaps some of those jobs are D.I.Y able. The steering rack probably aint though, i know someone who changed one and vowed never to do it again... if there is something else out there that you want i'd be tempted to get rid of it... hope it works out andy |

Ive made the mistake of fixing mine far too often, it has cost me far too much money. I kept seeing it as well Ive spent a lot on it now, no point in getting rid. Now Im at the point of anything else goes wrong Im either gunna just get rid and buy a sh*t piece, or just drive it fucked for the 5 months untill I hopefully start my 8 months training for the RM. Basically, you dont want to get into a position where you are financially commited to the car becuase you have invested so much money into it. Looking back now I would of got rid of the car when it last failed its MOT. |

from the pics it looks a nice car so i say try to save it if you can i dread to think how much i have spent on mine but i still have it so if you think its worth saving from the death keep it, i think its worth keeping and fixing |

sorry to hear it mate but i expect any car of this age is going to have the same problems ![]() what i mean is you dont want to swap this one with more of the same..as you know this one has been well maintained etc. |
