Not had the time to do anything with it at the moment as I've been fairly busy with family stuff, so the car is just sitting there in the garage looking sorry for itself :lol:

I was going to go work on it today but I had to pop out, so that set me back a few hours. I might crack on with it tomorrow though, then get a few more pictures of it and send them to AVO as I haven't done that yet - only because I wanted to take picture of the complete unit when it was out.

Spent 20 mins down the garage just now pissing around with the car trying to actually make some progress.

All I did was get the strut off and fuck the drop link in the process of doing that - but they need replacing anyway, so meh.

I'm still unsure as to why the thread has snapped, the piston is free to spin around and move up and down as it should, nothing was trapping it or anything so fuck knows. It'll get sorted one way or another though I'm sure.

Time to email AVO with some pictures and see what the crack is!

2 years from the date of purchase to the end user. I didn't buy them new though. Page 5 is the update when I got them, but the pics are fucked - probably linked through facebook. I will sort it all out one day when I can be arsed.

Sure is good news. It will be coming off the road for a couple of months now to get a few little bits done to it. I have a small list I want to work through, so knowing the car is off the road will mean I can get it all done. So I need to get the garage sorted out and get rid off all the crap in there to give myself a bit more room to work with as its a mess at the moment :lol:
