Fitted the lower strut brace. The toffifee was for it taking so long to get to me!




Also got the splitter done back up, turns out the screws have come out and the self tapping plates are gone

Nah the driver side front, the passenger side is the new one.

My mate did say when he went to fit them that the shock was fucked, but then he turned them onto hard and said, "hmm, maybe not"
But today just confirmed it, we were lifting the wheel and it was just going up and down freely. Then we put them on the hardest setting and no difference, whereas the new one was rebounding not just dropping

Looks like im going to have to can't ride around with a broken shock and no one will sell one second hand and even then that could be screwed,

Man that sucks ALOT See if Gaz can do you just the bare shock on its own Chris, because you have the spring and the adjuster and that. So you never know. Failing that, get Gaz to refurb it, they could probably do it for £20-30. It sounds like the damping valve has gone.

I have sent them an email asking all the possible options. I didn't know whether they were refurbable, but I have asked that and I hope that comes back to be cheap.
Problem is it'll me going without the car for a while, which might suck! could be possible though.

can u not put the old front suspension on till the gaz shock back

I think I would be 20mm higher on one corner. which means driving it uneven.
Its possible but I know for a fact we broke one of the front suspension when we had to fit the coilovers.

Chris please tell me your half asleep? lol. Of course it will be higher. So you either put both front shocks on - which that way will even out the damping, then raise the rear up. or put a standard shock on, and raise the other 3 up and match the damping on the other side at the front
