Chris hit the nail on the head.

The 1.6 managed to do a head gasket and I decided to run it into the ground :lol:

although it's a shame as the engine has only 60k on the clock

Thankfully Terry came to the rescue with his 2.0 out of his mk2. So with the help of my mate Phil me and sam went to Terry's Friday night and picked up the engine and watched Terry rip bits off the mk2 :lol:

Got it all home Friday night and Saturday morning at 9am we got cracking. It was ridiculously hot this weekend too which was a bit of a fail 8-)

Terry and alex popped round later in the day and gave a helping hand and Terry even managed to tip the 1.6 onto and down my shin which helped a great deal :iagree:

Bolted the 2.0 in Saturday night and went to bed.

Sunday morning we were up about 10 and had a bit of a chilled morning doing bits and bobs till she was ready to fire up

ended up swapping the battery with the RS one to get her started but she went on the button :halo:

Then Phil had to go home so that left me and sam to go out and get the oils and antifreeze etc. Got back at about 4ish and carried on. Wanted it done by 6pm really but nothing goes smoothly and we had to drop the exhaust to sort bits out and that but we eventually got it started and warmed up enough to take for a drive to the girlfriends and stone me does it feel responsive

Not given her more then 2.5k at 1/4 throttle but she just wants to rip :lol:

Not got a camera so if Terry alex or sam want to add their pics then I'd appreciate it guys

yeah it was :red:

there was a bolt that was holding the box on, so adam had the engine and box tilted back while i undid it and when the bolt came loose the engine rocked backwards and down his shin taking some flesh with it :red:

we all just stood/sat there LOOOOOL'ing whiel he just looked at his shin and made girly noises :homo:

was a lovely sight with all the rs badges around. must also add ... against what we all know terry gave it beans when he left adams and broke traction :shock:

and then alex gained another couple of asbos with a nice loud aggressive launch that spun all 4 wheels and made my todger twitch :teehheee:
