I have to say I think the square plate should be left to the jap cars, can't see it working too well on a fiesta? I could be very wrong though as I've not seen one with a square plate

Yeah i've gone off the idea tbh mate. I like the fiesta a lot as it is now and i'd just want to improve performance in the future, but i dont have the money and it'll probably rust away by then

What plans you got in mind for the performance?

I'm not sure really, it could do with uprated shocks, arb's, strut braces etc. but i'm starting to think it would be better to start off with an xr2i or si or somethinf, then i woulsnt have to change the engine i could just change cams and inlets and stuff like that!!

the 1.6 si engine sucks

rust is more of a pain then mechanical issues so if your shell is mint stick with it

Its solid ish, there is a few bits that have rust but its ok. Would benefit from a service which i am doing next month, probably won't do the leads though as they seem fine!!

Looking good, you should get an rst spoiler for this, blie with black insert will work well with your half and colour scheme.

My last 2.0ltr, with posted head, fast road cams, no cat etc etc, was running 38mpg and thats with excessive speed 80% of the time.
The last 1.1 we had, was struggling to get better than that...

2.0ltr engines are cheeeeeeeeap. Unless the world has gone mad.

The easiest thing to do would be to find a rotten 1.6s and swap all the engine and running gear over!! Its not that likely though really!!

The easiest thing would be to aquire the full loom with elec pack, and a 2.0ltr!!
