looks like a beauty

So as I never had a goooooooood look at it yesturday, I stole works camera (better than my phone) and got some shot of it!

Filler panel rust



Solid passenger side floor in the usual rot box area!!

So all I need is:
filler repair panel, and most likely the inner part too
both full sills
abit of floor work (nothing major TBH)
and the odd other bit

Floorpan under it isnt in bad condition, but I'll be getting it on the spit at some point to tidy the lot up!!

Now the fun part
White wheel experiment!








As you can see the rears are fine, and even after lowering I have a few mm spare in the arches.
The fronts need spacing 3mm like they did on the fiesta as they are touching the suspension leg.
Due to lack of engine this is not giving me a true setup, so I need to do a test with the front lower down to see where the wheels sit.

I'm pretty sure I can *just about* get away with using the wheels, with a tiny bit of the ka inner arch trimmed
And not to go too mental with the lowering.. by that I mean no more than 50-60mm
But they worked on my fiesta, and it was a very very close call



If I can run the white wheels... I will !
If I can't, I'll drop down to some 15's and have it a little more sleeper style!

Gotta get my mums car MOT'd first, so the Ka can wait for a week now

First plans are to finish stripping the interior as the lad didnt do a full job
Rip up all sound deadening crap and see if I can find any more grotty bits!
Want it on the spit but I'm not sure if should wait until after the cage for that.

Agree on the wheels too they look awesome in white and will suit a Ka

Looks like the Ka isn't as bad as thought for rust, crack on!

I reckon I'll be demoted to 15's due to the front wheel situation.
Remember, them wheels were made for RWD/4WD Cosworth powered bastards
Not puny FWD "newer" models.

RS2K phase 2's will do the job.
Cheaper rubber (specially the 888's)
Should handle better
Can deck the absolute arse off of it

Although I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the rare racing arches

Would look better in a pure colour I would say, like radiant red, diamond white, imperial blue maybe?
