ah big update then, fitted Mk3.5 mirrors, had a new turbo down pipe made up in stainless, and bought a 195 chip, but dont have the needed injectors, well i decided that i would listen to the numpty i bought it off and ran the car with it on, it seemed to run great but wouldnt come on boost quick enough, which affected my 0-60 time, i still managed to put out a 7.6, not bad to say i had a full cleaning kit, a jack, and a full tool box in the boot. Anyways car has some 701 injecotrs on the way and a brand new custom stainless exhaust and the boost is also getting upped to 16psi as i have a cosworth fuel pump, all in allby the end of the month i should be running a decent 180-195bhp.

good run, would be good to see what the 0-60 time will be when you get it up to 180-195bhp.

well where to start really lol, i guess the beginning is always good.

as most of you i know i had my fiesta remapped to a whopping 195 bgp @16.5 psi. well she ran sweet as a nut for a little while, sadly as with all RS this is where the problems then start, the clutch i was sold, which should have took over 200bhp, only was capable of running 160bhp, of course the sales guy pointed this out to me :banghead: or Not!. Then problems did start to crop up big time after i had the car serviced, the new oil managed to damaged the turbo seals, and gave me a really cool stage effect "tonight mathew im going to be " :/. And so i was left a little disheartened and started at looking at breaking the car and buying a subaru, a new job crept up and i found a new love as i now had abit of money saved up, so went out and bought my brand spanking new Fiesta ST with just 17k on the clock with a part ex of my fiesta Si, this left me with abit of garage space and a few ideas.

When i say garage i mean its more of a car laboratory you will see why later, a few months past and all the RS seemed to be was a forgotten memory and a silly dream i had, until i started to see a girl who was believe it or not :insanity: into RS Turbo's, motivated i rang around a few scrap yards and got some parts that i needed sourced, money changed hands, well my hands and i drove him with a few bits :).

After a bad break up the parts where just left inside the car and again i turned my attention to other things, that was until i met a mechanic, well the next thing i know, ive a carbon kevlar clutch ordered, brand new turbo, and intercooler all sorted. It was found out that a piece of metal had falled into the cambelt and almost snapped it, bit of look finding that i guess :), well in a mad dash to get it ready for Ford fair, the entire engine and gearbox was dropped out of the car and almost fully rebuilt, turbo on and all ancillaries back on the car, she was then booked in for the MOT and For the remap to have the car upped to 240bhp @18psi, this was due to my stage 3 sierra cosworth T3/34 turbo Hybrid.

Ok so the writing is getting boring and pictures paint a thousand words or so they say :hmm:

And then ive bought some borbet/deep dish replicas, almost bit the bullet and bought the real things but its been done before and ive never seen a RS turbo running deep dish thats streched lol, so after choosing a crazy 8.5J for the front and 9J for the back, i told the guy to fit the lowest profile he could, which turns out is 195/45 R16 :) as you can see there is some crazy stretch.

The car has been fitted with these mods since it was last seen in person :

Spax PSX full suspension lowered 65mm- 50mm rear.

Stage 2 Intercooler Front Mount

Stage 2 Turbo Cooler

Stage 3 T3/34 Hybrid capable of 450bhp

Carbon Kevlar clutch rated @ 280bhp

Drilled and grooved Discs

Greenstuff Pads

ABS removed

Full strip of interior bar front seats and door cards + carpets

New boot

Bonnet Pins

Rs accessory Spoiler

New wings

New Arch

Rolled Arches

And booked in for a full Respray in panther black With Highlights in Arctic White.

Escort GTI wheels (for Track) Resprayed Gloss Black

Certain Parts of Engine Resprayed.

Loads more mini mods but im sure you will see her in the flesh at some point.

UPDATE:

so got a bit of free time over the week + weekend so me and one of the mates whos a welder by trader decided to have a full over haul with the rs, bought some gearbox fluid and replenished the gearbox, 3 bottles later which she drunk ridiculously fast.

filled the bottles up with water and tightened down just about everthing i could see<, turbo cooler was put into place with the pipes running behind the drivers head light for a cheeky stealth look.

refitted the intercooler as was at a slight angle and was bothering me everytime i looked at it, so whipped the bumper off again + turbo rad and took to measuring, drilling and then bolting till i was satisfied, this was a slight error as now the dumpvalve pipe was too close to the battery, me been a hoarder of all parts took up a hack saw and made the pipe you see in the pic, 3 pieces of pipe and a piece of metal later she was ready to be test fitted.

Now the biggest problem of the lot, the t3 due to been a stage 3 spec is alot bigger than usual, this ment the horns had to be taken off my car till i relocate them ( who needs them when you have a dump valve ) the pipe you see is the old intercooler cross over and is going to be grinded so its facing down and nearly under the car, was only used as a test fit.

Batter was put onto charge and oil was then checked, all seemed good, put a little trickle in the engine for good measure and took the oil feed pipe off the turbo so it had oil on start up.

the fuel pump was then unplugged and the car was turned over 3-4 times to prime the turbo.
exhaust that was fitted is slightly out angle wise and till i get the welder tomorrow had to do, so dipped a rag in water to deaden the noise slightly.

fuel pump was pluged back in and car was lowered, closed my eyes and turned the key, Fired up first time.

Problem at the minute due to running no boost the fueling is way out which is making the car idle about 1600Rpm+

left to idle for about 2-3 mins, turned off and jacked the car to check any leaks under pressure, found halfords high temp paint doesnt like been on manifolds as it started to smoke off :) the weld we had to do to a renault 5 gt turbo oil return had a slight leak and the manifold needs a bit more tightening to stop leak. other than that MOT time draws near.

Boot is also fitted with the rs spoiler dummy fitted :) check the super rare Rs accessory spoiler on the roof ;)

Well its been a long one :/ managed to get the car started back in march last year, 3 miles the new t34 did and sadly let go :/, so back onto the phone with turbo technics to find I still had 3 days warranty left :) apparently someone had not tightened the seal correctly and water had gotten into the turbine causing massive friction. new turbo was ordered but then I was set to start a new job which meant I wouldn't have as much time to work on it.i rang around a few garages which wanted money straight away to fix it cough £3000 cough. I then decided to ring nobles who had remapped the car the previous year and agreed that it would be a long term project and I was in no major rush for it, as this was the case they agreed to do a discounted rate and even store the car for the duration, WINNING :).

This car now stands me at a lot, but I wouldn't swap it for the world, and I can safely say mine is built not bought haha. the major problem with a long term project is you end up keeping adding to it. so far upgrades as follows.

Full EBC drilled and grooved discs
EBC race pads
Full stage 2 radiator
Stage 2 front mount intercooler
Coilovers all round
Stripped back seats out
Cobra Racing harnesses
Front Strut brace
T3/34 Stage 3 Turbo Technics Cosworth hybrid
Custom Stainless Exhaust and Down pipe
Aftermarket Stainless Fuel Pressure Regulator
Turbo Cooler
Full Stage 3 Custom Map
Hertz Component Speakers
Alpine Headunit
Bad Boy bonnet (love it or hate it )
Boost gauge and voltmeter in Carbon Pod
Stainless Braided Fuel Lines
Changes to front bumper ;) revealed soon
Uprated Fan Switch and Custom fan
K&N Air filter with custom pipe work
Abs Taken off with custom brake lines fitted.
And loads of other tiny bits and bobs. but Alas a picture paints a thousand words.
