Chris car is running a quaife gearbox with straight cut gears, thats what the whining is, not the pasengers

Ford Fair, still not sure, ill make a final decision after i do croft on the 10th July, if they run the full GP circuit , id maybe not go , as i didnt like the new circuit, i perefer going under the bridge and into the complex, much quicker and more fun

Im all for spacing out the rear, but I have never been too keen on hubcentric spacers. Admittedly they are better than normal spacers, but then the same argument of putting more strain on the wheel bearing comes into my mind.

I would have thought you would have gone down the route of making some axle spacers to space the rear wheels out.

Dave you missed a great show, and the track was immense. I was doing passenger runs for the Lancs Group for the last hour or so, as there other cars had broken, so i enjoyed scaring the absolute crap out of a couple of people , one wee lassie in particular who may have to go to therapy to get over it, Show was pretty busy despite the weather and ill defo be there again next year

Danny, I fitted the spacers to get the OZ wheels to clear the coilovers, may do something a bit better in the future,but its all good at the moment

Next outing this Sunday at the West of Scotland RSOC regional day at Kames circuit in Muirkirk Ayrshire

I organise this event and its always a good day, and a great selection of cars on the scottish sprint car circuit, very challenging to go round quickly

Ill take some footage and post up for yous guys and some pics , cars all ready to go , after getting a full spanner check, and some repairs after Anglesey, and a bit of a bufty session too, as its was covered in tyre marks

thought id better update this a little

KAmes was brilliant and the Fiesta was 2nd quickest car of the day with a 91 second time for 3 flying laps of the circuit, my best previous time was 95 secs, so very pleased. Quickest on the day was my mate IMSY who did a 89 secs

Im off to KNockhill this weekend for another RSOC regional day, but cars in bits as i was having some issues with the gearbox, it wouldnt select 1st gear, so ripped it out stripped down for inspection, and repaired the gear selector assembly which had some wear, I had a spere BC box which was stripped already , and we rebuilt the box with all the best bits, so hopefully all will be well this Sunday

If the box is still having isues, Im gona send it along with an IB5 box down to G.E.A.R.S and have Peter build me a hybrid box with my quaife gearset into the IB5 casing which has better bearings and spring loaded gear selector as standard, but hopefully this wont be needed , as the box internally was looking pretty good, just slight wear in teh gear selector forks and mechanism

Gearbox all fitted and working A1, and car on the trailer ready to go

Had a coilpack fail when i started the car only running on 2 cylinders, first thats ever happened, fitted 1 of the spares and now all good to go

Pics and video over the next few days, hopefully see me spanking some fancy fords as the car is booked on teh Ford only session
