best thing i ever did to my fiesta was treat the rust, and underseal/paint all underneath.

the sportkas got many patches of rust underneath hidden here and there.

pissing lower arms gone again on it as well. just had to change them for mot, along with the common rear springs snapped and rear top mounts...

top mounts on the mk4/5 and ka AND puma are shite, go often

yea ill be glad to get it done,t he sill will still need doing in the future but atleast the car is self (main body that aint replaceable) will be solid as!

and the benefit of it having a layer or two of underseal will warm my heart during winters! :D

welding half done,

minor update

took these few days when i didnt need the car at all to get some rust sorted under the car

worst was where i got flagged on my mot in feb, a small "vagina" shaped hole formed on my rear passenger chassis leg before the beam anchor point
then i poked a hole in the back of the sill, so had to plate that too
rest of the floor just had surface rust that i have grinded back to shiny bare metal and the whole car is now undersealed

welding is bad as i only have use of an Arc welder, which if you have tried is a nightmare in cramped spaces

if im honest though as i was finishing the underseal i noticed the drivers side rear chassis leg is quite rusted up too, its solid but will deffo need taking back and protecting, so need to go back to do that as i needed the car tonight

Good work, if I had a welder and knew how to weld id love to attack the si while its off the road.
Plasma dials look awsome, much better than that silly green light.

:) thanks

best thing about the dials is you can change the brightness and colour to either green, jade, aqua or blue

best thing i ever done was paint/underseal my fiesta. its mint underneath, had a peek the other day.

worst thing i done was ignore the rust on the nearside rear arch when i fitted the xr2i kit. although the arch isnt really that much worse than it was 4 years ago when jason fitted the kit.

but that will be sorted soon.

Should do it in mallard instead, much better green IMO, very close to petrol blue, but seems to have 3 colours where petrol has 2 or 3

tried and tested some new fog light bulbs today, ordered them over a week ago and they finally turned up

theyre LED (24) i believe, ebay specials really, thought id give it a shot as they were cheap, what a waste lol
just thought id prove to myself that you cant use LED's as normal driving bulbs

pics say it all

turns out the passenger side fog was upside down, and storing water, hence the condensation
Image

Image

useless, led passengers, my bluey originals drivers, headlamps are on sidelights (mk3's dimmed main bulb system)

original back in (still sidelights)

headlamps on, dipped

Side lights without the relay (ignition off)
deliberately yellow set bulbs to be period loyal

Stickers

got onto DMB, got a few in my wishlist ready for payday

but i ordered this and it arrived today
Image

inlet pipe sticker reading 1.8, 130, 1.8 injection,, to replace my current and out of date 105 version (xr)
also in the pic i inquired with the dealership my Si is originally from, Allen Ford of Romford, and they kindly sent me out a pair of these window dealership stickers free, arrived VERY fast also

very pleased
i decided to do that after going over the cars very well kept service and reciept/mot history, detailed invoices dating back to the year of purchase, first registered 27/2/1995, its been on the road every eyar since, mot'd every feburary and i have certs going back to 2006
