Cheers mate!

ERST ones restrict the power too, they are quite small in diameter internally. It's been proven that they do too. I did think about going down that route initially until I found that out. They are designed for force fed induction and thats why they work well on them cars. Same with the FRST pipe too.

For now I'll stick with the design I have in mind :)

Engine wise:

- 2.0 Silvertop.
- RS1800/HO inlet manifold.
- RS1800 Throttle body.
- 2.0 MAF sensor.
- 2.0 Injectors
- DIY intake with K&N filter
- Magnex stainless steal 4” cat back exhaust system.
- De-cat
- Blue megaleads HT leads.
- DEWY ECU

Pretty much a standard 2.0 setup to be fair.

ahh right fair enough bud.

with that spec you should be seeing 130bhp!

be good once you got that intake sorted.

Yeah I should be. As soon as the intake pipe is sorted out properly I'll take it down there again and stick it back on there to see what difference it makes.

As I said previously, on this DIY bodge setup, it already feel much quicker than what it did on the K&N pipe :D

Yeah it would be ideal doing that - will give more room for the filter, you can put a bigger one on there too if you wanted.

I thought about doing that, but dont really want to. I'll make it all work :)

jesus god danny take that tacky inlet set up off right now, pm your address and ill send you a spare crossover i have, seriously lol thats gonna sucj the tape off itself soon and leak like mad!

todl you about them banana's :P

to be fair i experianced it when the engine was in my mk4, so it was the 1.8 not 1.6 it sucked shut on, and the one i had on this car when i bought it really wasnt left fitted for long so i cant tell you

but your probs right the 1.6 has a tiny inlet system, the maf and TB are puny! so even if it sucked shut there was probs still enough room for the air it needed haha

good result if you factor in it was suffercated a tad

your welding makes mine look good :P

PM me your address ;)
lets get that figure closer to what its meant to be!

oh and again i was trying loads of set ups in my mk4, the ERST crossover was actually good, once i had heat-proofed it as being metal it got hot easier than the plastic, but now the engine has a 4 branch i imagine the ERST pipe would restrict things as its smaller in diameter than the TB and MAF housings

awesome danny, shame you didnt get the figures you wanted but you're not far off the 130 mark and you know where those horsies are ;)

gives me something to think about for my air intake. the metal piping in between the silicone hoses, is that custom? and it must hit the bonnet?

pissed me of now... literally tried helping you twice there and you say that...
even offered to send you a free standard zetec crossover instead of sticking with that bodge

timing yourself with a timer and screaming off up a quiet road watching your speedo is about as accurate as a blind sharpshooter, i used to do it all the time in my mk4 1.3 kidding myself i hit a 10second run...

laser trap/trigger time it or dont bother shouting out random numbers

ive even got an App on my phone which uses GPS, and even that is shit, gps has a delay... by the time it realised you have moved its already a second or more delayed

think im wrong, set your satnav/app up and drive at 70... wait for the speedo on it to sync up, and floor it to 80, watch the gps speedo take a second to count 72..74.. etc

I have pissed you off? No surprise there really. That picture will probably piss you off even more

Firstly as I have said, the crossover pipes are shit and restrict power. Its been proven. Thanks for the offer though, but I have already made my mind up on what route im going down.

I haven't timed myself with a timer, I have recorded a video and said its about 7 seconds and also said that everyone can be the judge of what time it is exactly because this is exactly what it causes - arguments and shit. Get a stopwatch out and time it yourself. You may get 58 seconds for all I care.

7 seconds is achievable on a 2 litre fiesta... go look around forums. All I am saying is that I know for a fact my speedo is out by 1mph upto about 70mph, so doing 60mph on the speedo is 59mph on the sat nav.

Dont forget, that filmed after all the little problems was fixed, which has possibly brang it upto 130bhp or roughly around that anyway.

Phone apps are pointless. Everyone knows it.

On the note that your engine produced more power, look at the mods thats been done to it, yet mine has produced 4bhp less with a collapsed intake pipe... lol

I cant be arsed to argue lol

cant be arsed to argue, dont say shit then...

waynes 2.0 fiesta with high lift cams an 4 branch etc etc making over 140bhp est done a low 7 secs, you think your standard 2,0 will do that

wathcing your video it looks no faster then mien or any other 2.0/1.8 ive seen

pipe down ya fool

and i made 126/8.5 s with my own little problems, etc massive exhaust leak and runnign rich, i still have them issue, and my cams werent fitted at the time

why is that pic going to piss me off its all over 9gag
its your atturtude that pissed me off

If it looks no faster, than dont complain about how its not about 7 seconds. Like a said, get a stop watch out. I never said it was dead on 7 seconds, i said it was about. It could be 7.5 or 7.9 or 10 seconds.

I know Waynes car did that, his engine was standard apart from a 4 branch manifold. It didn't have cams when he did the 7.2 to 60mph, so to be honest, yes I do think my car can do a 7ish second to 60mph.
