should see the difference between the size of the 1.6 and 1.4 throttle body! the 1.6 must be about half an inch bigger!!! the 1.4 is puny as hell!!

O 1 thing thou mate, i duno if it will be the same on yours but on the right hand side,cumin from the big bit with EFI on it, the top pipe, where does it go??

coz on my 1.4 it goes to the Fuel reg but on the 1.6 the fuel reg pie goes into the bottom of the throttle body. so its the only pipe which i duno wer it goes like..

It came with my 1.6 engine, the systems are around £140 and manifolds £125 brand new.

its an xr2i 8v 1 so doesnt have a cat, mild steel twin box system,still loud thou.

sorted the blowing out now. goes loads better, especially top end, it just keeps goin.

only thing is between 2500-3500 is makes like a tinging,raspy noise. my mate sed sumins vibrating so it mite be this. its not blowing thou but sort of sounds like it is.

perhaps ikts sumin to do with ashley exhausts??? i duno lol

Bought sum new speakers yesterday.

they ministry of sound 1s.

got 380w 6x9s and 300w 6.5" door speakers. only thing is the door speakers wont fit. any ideas??

also they sound poo, so just got 10m of thicker speaker cable from b&q 4 a tennner. so gona run new cables through the car which should hopefully sort the crackling at high volume.

also got a 12mm drill bit 4 my brakes. had to go to b&q 4 this 2! another 10er thou!!! :shock:

its a bosch 1 thou so should be a quality bit.

You have to modifiy your door cars as far as im aware.

yea the actual speaker wont fit in the door thou.

got a bad grinding/clicking/clunking noise cumin from rear left hand side now.

should be looking at that later.
