Oh and today arrived a new gearknob!



My old sparco one is rattling because the screws are falling out, so I decided to splash out, it was on ebay as discontinued stock for just under a tenner and I love carbon effect things, not as good as the real thing but its rather nicee.

They are under a year old and then if the new ones go in a year, free again. Like a cycle of free lower arms lol

I know someone said you can make your own camber adjustable wishbones on here, think it was paul.. Would that solve the problem?

I think they cost me £15 a side from motaquip. Can't remember, need to find the invoice lol. Yeah you can, not easy but it's been done a handful of times. Technically it would help yes. If you want to do it all propely you would have to get it all laser alined and setup after. I'm thinking about making some, but I haven't got the time or money at the moment. And I'm not buying new ones either! Adjustable ones that is. They cost a bomb!

Okkkkk Will have a little update.
I will be taking bonnet raisers off when the weather warms up.
I've just ordered sand paper, filler and primer. So will be cracking on with my Rs2k's refurb. My silly colour will be awesome I hope If not i'll just redo them fully white.

I've also just ordered one of these


So will get that in 24 hours apparently Then that'll protect my sump!

Uppers make no difference really,unless the rear one is in and its stripped out I've heard.
Either way I'll save my money for now as everyone else says there mainly for show on a zs.

Handling is good enough from what iv heard on zs's to, some times having strut braces on your car can ruin handling on your car for road use, they need abit of flex to cope with the rough roads. Read it in pf awhile back

On mk3's they make a difference, especially rears.

On my Si I've got front and rear upper, polybush'd front and rear anti-roll bars and polybush'd top mounts and without all them it's so different to drive, feels sloppy.

Having braces can ruin road use handling if course, but it's all to do with how you set the car up, things like tyres and pressures, camber, bushes, weight, ride height front and rear, corner weights (to do with coilovers), weight of the car and where it is, sprung and unsprung weight and loads more.

As long as you set it up propely it will be fine, most people don't know about alot of things that have effects on a cars handling and performance, they just think it's better and stick it on. MOST things are designed for track use where it's all smooth and flat and it optimises the handling of the car and stability. But admittedly, when you start putting new stresses on the car you will of course need to upgrade things so they don't fail, not just because it's cool and gives your car and extra modification to add to the list.

I have planned out to the best of my knowledge what needs upgrading, ill get wishbones, full polybushes. But that's the extent of my knowledge so feel free to add more of what I may need!
