Car was simply parked and i was in my house, when a Mitsubishi L200 reversed into it, I've got the details of the driver and Company he was working for.

Don't wanna see the car taken away from me, is there any way i can avoid a write off? solicitor etc.

obv i'm gutted, as i was no where near the car and it's been damaged

It may be a insurance write off as to them its only a 15 yr old Fiesta! :rolleyes:

but id just buy it back and sort it for about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£200-Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£300, new wing, headlight, bonnet and respray!

See if they will pay cash as they wont want to have to go through there insurance bumping up there premium!

Well i've had some possible good news.

The driver was doing so for a van hire company, and i've just been in touch with his boss. He says they could repair in their own bodyshop. However, the slam panel has been damaged and the wing pushed back, the bumper is also scuffed and doesn't sit right.

Been warned from family to beware of any structural damage which maight have occured. Don't wanna be fobbed off with a superficial, rushed repair job.

i know it's hard to judge from pics, but is it safely fixable, or could it leave my car unsafe and handling like a pig etc.

sorry to hear the bad news richard

get a machanic to check the car over before you send it to them(if you do send it to them) then make sure that they do all the work, get the mechanic to re-check it after they have done the work to make sure its all up to scratch, if not make them do it again!
