Time for an update!

With the weather being nice today I headed down to the garage to get some more done on the FRS

As part of the front end freshen up, I wanted to spray the intercooler rad matt black as it would be from the factory to get rid of all the stone chips it has collected over time. There was also a bit of rust on the bottom of the front crossmember that I wanted to sort and also the crossover pipe just above the intercooler rad

So anyway, I will let the pics do the talking:

Before I started:

All rust removed:

Crossmember sprayed up with filler primer (imperial blue to follow):

Intercooler rad and crossover pipe masked up ready for paint:

Painted:

The finished thing:

Next job is to sand back the filler primer then get imperial blue and laquer on 8-)

Really do have a soft spot for the Mk1 FRS.

Is it just me or are the pipes for the intercooler really small?

They are quite small, but there is also an air to water cooler in the engine bay before the inlet, so with the two combined there is sufficient cooling to get low enough intake temps :thumbsup:
