lovely car paul I had a simlar problem with my si the ball joint wouldnt go in but the driveshaft had come apart at the box end so just moved the shaft around and it clonked back in it was in the box fine just the shaft disconnected itself

Thats all sorted now.

Got varying shakes while driving, which im 80% sure is the ns shaft (the one that kept being spat out on the nackered box) so I'm asuming thats bent or whatever.

Hoping to find one at the weekend

Also trying to sort my headunit, got the red/yellow wires the corret way but its refusing to remember anything

Managed to get the headunit sorted.
Sorted the rear light issue.

No scrapyards here have mk3s anymore so in need of a ns shaft asap as its buggered.

Also want to get some better headlight bulbs.

Also toying with getting an extra silencer in the exhaust.. I do love it when I'm giving it some stick, but just normal driving it does my head in just having a backbox lol

What was up with rear lights Paul ?

Also if you find a pink wire behind the headunit not connected to anything, that's the remote wire for an amp, runs to that plug in the boot.

Shame about the driveshaft as it was brand new and only done about 5 miles on a test drive when it popped again

Got shafts and magnex lined up, just need a clamp on flexi to join up to the ashley mani. Oh and to collect the parts lol

Yeah its on the road

Flexi on my current exhaust is welded to the cat-back part, and then clamped over the ashley, fits perfect.
Going to do exactly the same to the magnex exhaust. Easy peasy.

Plans plans plans...
Not much happening on the Si front right now, I'm driving it every day at moment, already covered 350 miles

But here is a list of things to keep me going:

Magnex cat-back exhaust with 3" tip
Exhaust Flexi to fit the above onto the Ashley manifold
Set of driveshafts, probably only have to replace the ns shaft
4" Outwardly rolled exhaust tip, to weld onto the Magnex box instead of the 3" tip

MK5 Sunroof
Wind deflectors
Better headlight bulbs

Abit of sound deadening in the car
Sort out the electric mirrors (needs wiring and baseplates)
Wire up some footwell courtesy lights and rear courtesy roof light along with Escort 20 second delay relay
Wire up a glovebox light
Fix the front foglight switch as it sticks

CAT1 Alarm at some point

AVO Coilovers in the future.

Plans sound good Paul! Hows the exhaust noise going? Getting used to it yet? It will be a whole new car when its quieter, will be so much better!

AVO coilovers are the best mod on that list IMO - after the exhaust issue of course lol

I'm alright with the exhaust on the way home from work, just all other times I can't stand it
That'll be for sale before the end of the month

Looking forward to sending the coilovers off, its a little bouncy on the front end (50mm spax springs on std shocks) although its not harsh, so I can live with that for a while.. but the roads I use, it'll probably shag the shocks to death

Should be at the North meet on the 30th, getting the exhaust and shafts done the week before hopefully!
