went for a drive today with the missus, went up and down some twistys. along some gravelly roads, started hearing a grinding noise when braking. thought: "oh it will be a stone"

drove home, tried to get the "stone" out

hadnt long checked my pads - with the wheels on obviously didnt look properly:




trip to furrows ford and im £60 lighter and thats with a 15% discount. didnt need this to happen really, not got any coin.



the cat got involved, as did the beer:






this clip took 1/2 hour to get back on, the otherside was 5 mins once i'd figured it.



my only worries are that i've a sticking caliper, the othersides were worn but not to the metal like here.

I'm also bothered that the inside of one disc is now scored by rivet:


(note the t-shirt - helens idea of a joke)
not really deep but you can feel it.

Those clips are either a pain in the arse or really easy

I always seem to get the pain in the arse ones at work

I think the discs will only fail if their heavily scored but it also depends on the tester.

Glad you got some new pads on it before they rubbed a hole in the discs

Sorry, I have just been told many times that Ford have better build quality, its taking time but is being proven to be incorrect.
