been up at the garage today and been doing bits on the car i didnt do as much as i wanted to but thats what you get for going out night before for a few drinks that turns in to a full blown night where you strugle to walk to the taxi but never mind

got the bottom arms and brakes on so a little progress

just before we left thought we have some fun popping and banging the car and ended up setting another units alarm off opps vid to follow when ive uploaded it doesnt pick up the flames but they was huge

no idea mate but does look like the mongose one i saw it on ebay and thought mine looked the same

cant wait to put rev limiter and launch control and set limiter up should sound good then

i dont really like it to quiet for me really all my other cars are have been really loud but this one is just induction roar this car pops and bangs loudest though

is that omex limiter the one that lets you do full throttle gear changes?

yeah i will be able to do them when its fitted as my mate widdo said thats how he gets all his fast runs down santa pod lol

need the limiter as my carbs would keep going till engine goes bang like before when i missed a gear so should hopefully keep the car going a bit longer this time

at last we had a free ramp up at work so got it on and needs new sills when i took the kit off one side was proper rotton so doing them this week and then under seal it all

part fitted the rev limiter just got 3 wires to engine connect boss was busy so doing that this week got launch control button on the gear stick and the unit in the glove box should have sill done this week and then mot time so should be back this week fingers crossed i cant wait now

there is a number of mk5 zetec s's around town who think they got quickest fiestas in town so will have to show them up

geting there now taking a while as im not at work much due to boss having a daughter whos at school and he has to pick up and having lots to cram in to a day because of this but tomorrow should be finish if i get a bit of time :D

done my sill
undersealed most of the car
brake pipe but one
sound deadening out (lots more to do but getting there)

got 2 wheel studs to put in
the brake pipe
sound deadening (dont need to be done but want to to make it ligher)
mot this week
tax on the 1st and insurance just before then it will be back

then its off to the pod 4th of july with my mate just wondered if anyone else is going down hopefully get some vds of it going down and see what time i can get

right it failed the mot but ive nearly done all the bits already

the tow eye has gone (i did like that)
braided brake hose was bit quinked sorted that now
small welding on back - cut plate waiting for boss to weld it on
bulds all working now
bit of welding on the front ( plate ready also)
washer jets wasnt put together ( i forgot) thats now sorted
battery insucre going to put it in properly

there seemed alot but alot was took up by bulds and silly things i forgot to do or did slighty wrong but it will be in for the retest tomorrow if i get my act together or monday

forgot how quick it was drove it back from the mot station my boss droped me off to pick it up and i left first and then he chased me out range rover sport so only put foot down a bit and then pulled away so easyly didnt even take it over about 4-5k and number 1 carb well out and 2 3 and 4 arnt set up for the engine so i was impressed

fitted my clutch today just a standard one see how long it lasts didnt do bad really as i did it on my own and never done one before so was impressed with myself

anyone know what sort of power a luk can take its a 1.6si one

got though the MOT today so i pleased with that then i fitted a new clutch cable and a fire extinuisher aswell between the 2 seats fitted a relentless can for catching oil aswell

got to insure it tomorrow and then taxed it

getting really pissed off with this now its over heating now :@ so today fitted a rad twice size of the one that i took off but still did it preasured uploads aswell so think its either head gasket or thermostat as i changed water pump when i put engine in

whats happening is its over heating but no reading on the temp gauge and pressures up loads aswell any ideas anyone

take the top off the coolent bottle and is it bubbling? loosing any water?if not try the thermostat as for the gauge its either not working of theres air in the system
