for any kind of modified car try greenlight, Sky Insurance, Chris Knott and A-plan.

Sky/Chris have an amazing repuation for if you ever need to claim to however chris knott dont do stuff like scoobies, as when they did, they paid out just as much as they earnt along with evo's and a few other cars that are mainly raced and crashed by real chav communities.

also they can be akward with certain postcodes like manchester for instance. apart from that though the above 2 are amazing.

you have to be 19+ for those, im just gonna go on dads policy.

i wouldnt go on your parents policy, i made that mistake it may be cheaper now but as soon as you come off that policy you wont have a ncb and your get hit with the insurance with no ncb its usally better to do the stupidly expencive first year by urself and then when u get that ncb in the 2nd year it will drop a hell of alot! and will prob end up cheaper in the long run

1600 my insurance was in 1st year... did pass plus a few week after taking policy out, dropped insurance down to 800.

Although the 2nd year was also 800.

3rd was around 500

might take a look into that paul, seems worth it, and i think im just gonna have to pay it for now on my own policy, and get some ncb. i want to be able to insure a rst for less than 2k by the time im 19. (optimistic probably but heres hoping )

To be honest.. Ive always hated people who are named drivers. As most companies speciafy that being a named driver, you shouldnt be the main driver of the car.. whereas most people who are named drivers only drive that one car.. so therefore false insurance.

its not me being tight, its me needing to live. if i have to pay 1.8-2k insurance, i will barely have enough to put petrol in the thing, let alone pay my rent and food bills.

mini- update: air filter now on, mate had a restrictor from his saxo. it is in ''number 2'' position, but i am removing standard airbox etc when i have the money for a pipe.

I know what you mean mate, but everyone I know had the same problem when we all got cars.

I was at college doing my A levels, and was doing a 40 hour week at work at the same time... and struggled with having a car... cars are great.. but not for your pocket.


Therefore.. don't do any mods..

im not, cant afford to anyway. air filter and stereo are only ones, and they are needed anyway.
