awesome time I go for poly bushes then as rose joints arent really suitable for the road really only for smooth tracks, & make too much noise... cheers sam thats made my mind up [/quote]
yer i think you'd find it better. think the only thing that makes my car a bit track rough is the suspention but tbh that does suit me..,...

right well checked and topped up the gearbox oil and fitted a new thermo.... runs better now as gets up to heat better. right ive been thinking..... few things that have been on my mind.....


part 1) problems;

i some times (litterly only sometimes, depends on the direction of the rain);
a) get a tiny amount of water in the passenger foot well. about 2 table spoons. now it seems to come from near the front of the passanger door or even from inside the nsf quater. any surgestions?
b) right the drivers side foot well sometimes gets alot of water in?!?! when parked up and we had the heavy rain came out the next morning to find my drivers side under a inch of water!!!?!?!? now for the drivers side i'm wondering if the rubber door seal when door is closed blocks off the drain holes in the door, forceing the water up and through the front speaker hole? or could it be that i need siome more decient weather sheild? (behind the door cards)

any surgestions where to start on this....

part 2) modifycations and a change of heart?

as some of you may know i currently have no interia in my car other than 2 seats and roof lining. now i was wondering should i get a propper set of bucket seats roll cage set up etc?

or

was thinking about loosing the harnesses and all that and have a full set of nice recaro seat interia (yes back seats and carpets!) i quite like the old grey seats with the red centers (infill area)...
if so what do i need to do in order to fit the recaros? as in runners etc?

your thoughts....


part 3) later on in a few years

well engine is now on 91k and is wonderfull for now but might eventualy go over to a two litre mondeo engine.... not too sure what other choises.... what engines can i put under there? what bhp do they generate? and what do i need to addapt and fit them under there.?


also carbs.... now can i actualy put them on a 1995 engine and get it through the emmitions?

Leak - check windscreen rubber, they can let water through sometimes.

Seats and shiz - up to you really, but get something you can live with daily.

Engine - 2 litre will drop straight in and its the easiest conversion. They kick out about 130bhp - good fun in a little fiesta. Carbs will probably make the emissions fail, throttle bodies on the other hand probably wont.

no think so sam.

when you're in situ, the water when raining will be flowing with the wind of the car wont it. so when you park up it will have time to settle i guess. i have the odd leak in the top corner on the windscreen, so it would be worth checking that.

right well back frome my 659mile surfing trip to woolacomb. and the si didn't miss a beat! (my surfing on the other hand was a differen't story... good old devon a+e) anyway....
today took the si to bits (interia)
think i found out the problem of the water (I THINK!) took the roof liner out and there was a pipe with a kink in there and think that was a leak prolem from the sunroof. also i have now taken the seats out and started putting the full interia set up back in the car... bit more useful then if i go out with mates on a friday night.....
right so putting the full 5 seats back in.. and normal seat belts.... what you personaly recons best? si wingbacks or recaro's? putting standard seats back in atm as need the motor for friday night! ha

Recaros I'd say, the wingbacks are a bit soft when you're pushing it I'd say.
Or maybe it's just my excesive bulk

also the heater isn't blowing out really hot air any more.... any ideas. ? collent leval is fine car is getting up to temperature fine and just had new thermostate....
