Good work Ben! Lucky with the drill bit, iv had similar happen in the past.

oh i know mate, bricked it when it happened, was the wrong drill bit completely, could see it wobbling from the pressure lol!
speakers were a pain tbh, with all the connectors etc!
will hopefully be able to come up get them seats soon lou! just finding the spare time. you wouldnt mind if i waited to get my wheels and suspension on? just it will make me put them on knowing i have to come get the seats?

righttt then! bought my new wishbones today (fucking VAT sucks balls)

went to 'trial fit' my rs2000's and the wheel nuts that fit the aftermarket multispokes dont fit these! any idea on which i need?

You shouldnt need a c spanner at all when there are no springs on them, should go down easily. I can even adjust mine by hand when they are on the car with springs to a certain point before the tension is to much in the springs.

I have pics of when I refurbished mine in my thread I think, shows how to put them together if you havent already done so. And yeah hammerite will be fine, thats all i used and they are still fine.

As for the damping, left if soft, right is hard.

hmm, ill scrape out the grooves to see if that helps, maybe a bit of lube.

Torx bit for the balljoint on the hub, cant remember size
3 nuts and bolts on the wishbones
pry bar
hammer
screwdriver helps

I never have replaced the bolts but it is adviseable
Be careful with the bolt which goes to the balljoint/hub, they are a pain.. normally round off or snap.. and if you dont seat the balljoint in the hub properly, the bolt wont fit and you can fuck it

danny mentioned gettign 10mm bolts which prevents that? but with coilovers being in the mix, without the lower arms being polybushed im guessing i will need new'ns soon rather than later so ill get onto that next time!

10mm bolts for what?
The bolt used in the balljoint/hub arrangement is a special bolt with a little notch in it which holds the balljoint in

Dunno what its called
But I know the 3 other bolts which hold the wishbones to the wishbone carriers "should" be replaced everytime you change the wishbones, I never did because I changed wishbones so often
