Yeah of course :P Far more bad tuners out there than good, and people have a habit of recommending tuners with no real clue of what the tuner has or hasn't done to their car, but they've managed to get a name for themselves for creating a few big BHP cars that can handle a drag strip but then die once out on track. /tru story bro

All I'm saying is that the 3 options Lee gave you may not be the only 3 options. I like to question things ;)

I'll leave it at that (and leave you in peace!)

i am fully aware of bad tuners - everyone raves about jamsport but i wasn't impressed at their work on rob's st turbo at all!

Lee uses their st zetec turbo as a track car not just a drag car ;) and they work with classic and fast ford :)

i know they probably arent the only 3 options but i was happy today with the service i got :)

People used to slag severn valley off also but to have this built in 2001 and still be running 12 years later and producing that power figure isnt bad, if i had the funds i would have defo gone for a full omex setup when it was done

Good stuff, good to see what its actually making, I guess it makes sense as the 1.6 zetec will be strong as anything so capable for more than the cvhs.

Will be interesting how far this goes, I would guess a reliable figure would be less then 200bhp, but with that just refining its current setup should give gains while improving potential reliability.

£500 seems a bit steep in my opinion tbh, I'd question exactly what you are getting for that money. If it's not much then source your own after market management and if Lee can't work with it, then perhaps it would be worth looking into other well respected tuners to set it up?

Subaru injectors are quite common on ZT builds, so that's a perfectly normal suggestion.

200 bhp - it'll be nice to see that! :D As has been said, Lee wouldn't, or at least shouldn't say it can make 200bhp if it's going to be unreliable. Tuners do tend to set it up to give a big power figure because that's what people tend to want, and then the reliability goes down the drain because it's pushed to its limits all the time. So if he says it can get to that figure, I would hope he means it will be a very safe and reliable 200bhp :) and if it is, let it happen.

cs detailing - my thoughts to! but he did say he was happy with the timing etc - just the fuelling is struggling

I've heard of KMS and everyone who's spoken about it as regarded it highly. I still wonder what management it currently has on it and if its worth upgrading the whole management to something more middle ground like omex if there isn't a great price difference.

200bhp in a fiesta mk3 would fly.

Yeah i will talk to lee again - but i do feel like leaning towards the aftermarket fuelling ecu and injectors and leaving it around 180bhp - as I need it sorted ASAP as it is now overfuelling to shit

want to get the left rear coilover investigated aswell as the knocking is driving me insane

as has been said its all a matter of choice and lee didnt say 'get KMS' or 'get omex' he just suggested 3 as they would all work as its ONLY for fueling. no more power can be gained and it cant be made safer (which it needs to be) without better fuel management. OFAB stuff is easiest to find but pricey for what it is, OMEX is awesome but not 100% needed as its only the fueling side that needs sorting not the whole lot. so as lee said, supply the scooby injectors to them and they will supply and fit a seperate fuel management system to make sure the AFR is 100% through the rev range. there was no discussion of power at all apart from 'with more boost this has 200bhp potential'. if meilack takes it back spending £500 on fuel ecu and injectors then keeps the boost the same its just even more safe and reliable that it is now. if meilack decides to put a few more psi through it to make 180bhp then so be it. i cant see this being used for dragging or track use so safe to say £500 to make it perfect and reliable is hardly extortionate :halo:
