matt black paint arrived today for the steelies... but i think ive changed my mind! if the alloys will be legal, i think im going to spray them matt black (didnt finish them in the panther black ) will get daylight pics tomorrow, one wheel isnt on because i think the flush valve has gone will check at the garage later when i go do the pressures... so thoughts please chaps, if i do keep the alloys, ill refit the steelies, spray the rims matt black, and fit my suspension and sort out my wishbones! so i can get the tracking done all at once! thanks, ben

Looks good mate. The limit for wheels sticking out past the arches is none. It basically says the wheels are not allowed to protrude out past the arches, yours will be upto the descision of the tester to be honest.

Pics of the shocks for you. They only have light surface rust, and ill be completely honest, the flash on the camera makes it look 10x as worse lol. I couldnt be arsed to take the front -40 spax spring off, but got a couple of pics of the seals.

All in working order, no leaks, bushes are fine ect Rear two are sachs shocks, and the front are ford ones.

My fez sits higher at the back

all mk3 and 3.5s sit higher at the back and as much as it looks better, say 60mm rear 40mm front, to level it up it fucks the geometry of the car and thus the handling... but unless your going for precise setups and track time who gives a fuck but ben in all honesty 40mm is perfect

thanks jony mate, just been tesco to top up and do tyre pressures. wheels look mint in the light! started hearing a funny noise, flapped a bit because of what happened to chris to tightened them right up, much better now lol! bar the one bastard tyre! :@ valve is buggered, any idea how much a flush valve is to replace? can't be too expensive can it?
