Well yesturday my battery light started coming on below 2k rpm, today on the way to work this had moved up to about 3k, and above 3k it would go out.
Alternator is only working above 3k rpm at the moment then...

Checked all the usual stuff, everything points to the alt being the problem so have bought a new one off ebay for £55 posted.
Should be here wednesday or thursday I hope! - Then have to fit it before work.

Gonna drive home with it tonight and keep the revs up as much as possible, luckily most of my roads are national speed limit roads where I can keep it in 4th and above 3k.
If it starts okay in the morning and has the same issue I'll continue to drive it until I have the replacement!
Probably end badly, eg. me at the side of the road with no headlights :lol:

Fitted the Alternator last night while at work...
Car is now running as normal again, normal being rattly, noisey, smokey as fuck.
Got abit of sqweek from the belt, too tight maybe, not arsed.. it charges the battery :lol:

Jobs to do before FF weekend!
OSR brake hose repair
OSR brake cylinder replacement (the bitch job!)
Fit mondeo front flexi hoses to calipers
Bleed the lot.
Fit the tints.

Should have it sorted. Working days next week, so have my evenings to do jobs

Been thinking about it, I'm still 50/50.. and time is an issue.. but I'll see

Can't use vinyl on the rollered paint (too rough) , had to superglue my stickers onto it lol

Got brakes to fix at moment, so thats on my priority list at moment :lol:
