Yeah just done some research and also after a drive they really are good, makes the car feel solid and strangley more responsive. Ill stick pics of my efforts up later.

dude they wear in.....i hated mine when i first fitted them a week later they were fine and was not as harsh and the will feel more responsive i love mine, just give them time

Solid mounts you just gotta live with mate feel every movement of the engine

I kinda like it now, its so good to have my car back after so long with worn mounts.

So here is the update of my new mounts after my worries of not doing it right.

So stuck the car on axle stands:

wipped off the front suspension crossmember and transmission bearer:

Identified the culprits :


Got to work pulling them off :

Old vs New:

I put the new mounts on and put my old transmission bearer old from my old gearbox as the one that was on looked a little bashed up and the tow eye was bent so now it all looks better.

Im pretty pleased with my efforts as i havent had much experience doing jobs like this so i hope to tackle more myself than pay a garage

My thoughts on the mounts, I was worried id done it wrong at first as i hadn't had experience of how they should run but after some research and obviously some of you lot confirming that alot of vibration and sound are meant to be felt I felt alot of confidence in my work lol. On idle they are noisey but in motion they make the car feel more solid all round and even more responsive, the car note even changed due to the vibrations through the body lol. All in all I highly recommend them aslong as your car is not a family car and its only you that will deal with it lol.

lol yeah get the bumper done first! thats slightly more of a priority for looks lol

Cheers, I think they where fast road, very hard so i presume they where. I bought them off RS220bhp so not sure lol.

not used them myself but its how theyre like from what ive been told, its a Marmite mod really,

Cheers guys, means alot. It was pretty straining lying under the car for so long, the mount to the rear of the transmission was a pain as the car was obviously lower at the back and also one of the nuts was a 15mm whereas the rest was 17mm so it took me ages to dig out a spanner that size as lol.

Ben- from what I've read about them the benefits of them are they last much longer than standard ones and due to them not allowing much movement of the engine/transmission they help the life expectancy of it and also make the car feel more solid.

The only down side is it makes your car less friendly in popping to the shop due to its vibrating and noise lol but its my car and we have the corsa for family trips so im not bothered by it, will be great for more power. I feel the love for my car again as it had faded by its troubles but things are looking up lol.
