bit of a feeble attempt at an update
been working on the arches (still!) for the last couple of days and i've nearly finished one...after about a year!!
This is how the arch was after a bit of work the other day:
im sure you can see the imperfections and shoddy bumps so I played with a bit of fibreglass and filler mixed together. This worked an absolute treat and was really easy to play with:
Now its only partially sprayed up in zinc primer so I didnt bother with any piccies, but will finish it off leaving it suuuuper smooooth for some photos on the weekend
meanwhile i thought i'd smooth a bit of the 12-bore bumper (b) which hopefully will turn out alright! The dotted line (c) is where im gonna cut through after smoothing the arch into the bumper so its all nice and neat. Finally, you can see how much of a gap there is with my bumper and panel (a) and im completely stumped on what to do about it...any ideas greatly appreciated!
oh yeah, i had my new (standard) brakes fitted aswell on monday, feels great to have new everything all round (shoes on the rear, disks/calipers/pads on the front) and i can actually stop without having to use the gears now
Hopefully more of an update on the weekend where things should be looking nice and smooth down the drivers side (weather depending!). Cheers for looking
