Updates.. well kind of

Been driving the Scrote more on a few more long runs and found that the Speedo is playing silly buggers on me.
eg. its all over the place, either the cable and/or gearbox is near shagged to death, which wouldnt suprise me at all
So a way round this, would be to fit some of these:-

As found in MK5 Fez ZS models

They fit straight into the Scrotes, and is the same job as like fitting them to a MK3 Fiesta. Wire up the relevent wires and add a wire from the VSS found on the gearbox to feed the signal to power the speedo needle! - Alot more accurate.
The downside being that the fuel gauge reads backwards, like it did when I fitted a set to my MK3 Fiesta. - A way round this would be to fit the sender from the Fiesta too, which isnt a hard job in its self.
Please note:- I will probably not bother doing this

too lazy.. and generally have the satnav on longer journeys anyway

Other things, which I am actually going to do!
I have managed to get one of these off eGay fairly cheap:-

Along with a manual boost controller and relevent shitty little pipes.
This will enable me to check the turbo boost is set correctly to its standard 15psi, and once I can be arsed to squeeze my hands behind the rad with a 14mm spanner and a 4mm allen key, I will turn up the on boost fueling screw ever so slightly, and then turn a knob on the boost controller to make it up to 18psi. This will give it more beans for overtaking etc, which is a safety thing, not just for power

Now here is an issue, where the fook do I put this little wank boost gauge?
As I am fairly bored of life right now, due to lack of project car (soon to be sorted, hopefully

) I like to do little things to keep me entertained, specially in this shite cold weather, dark nights and all that.
So I have come up with an idea.
See part of the MK6 Escort Dash:-

The clock which is circled in red (which happens to be Analogue; why the fuck Ford got rid of the digital one I dont know)
Is an oval shape... now my plan is to fit the boost gauge into that space that the clock sits, and cut/fiberglass it all in, and give it a coat of black. - I'm sure it wont be too hard, its only a little bit of fiddling about to keep me entertained inside.
I will then need a clock, so I am going to take a digital clock panel out of something else, probably have a mk3 fiesta one laying around somewhere.
Under where the boost gauge will be, is 2 redundant buttons for changing the hands on the backwards clock, and a flashing LED to tell people that it is fitted with the wanky PATS system

I plan to mould in the clock and LED from the Fiesta into this place, it will use the existing Escort wiring anyway.
I'm hoping it will look fairly neat

- Then when the ineviatable Escort drops to bits, some chav will want to buy it for his Coz replica and pretend he has boost

I will update this thread with photos of the stickers and things, when I get round to fitting them
