Im thinking of a different set of alloys eventually like on the RS1800 as i really like them

Its tempting to leave it standard actually as the exhaust is real raspy, but the current one is rusty and is touching the subframe and while i had it on ramps id just chuck a new system on it

BUT stem seals first and if that doesn't fix the problem then oh dear lol

Looking for a boot and passenger door first so they are replaced, then bring in engine work and service as necessary, then the exhaust, then wheels, then bodywork

Just do what's necessary mate. Then crack on with making her sweeter

Got some hammerite for her gonna do that when i got time off next wish i had a car port for it

got some polish products to hopefully buff up the roof and bonnet as theyre shocking

I have got to sort the exhaust its touching the bottom subframe on the car, i pushed it up when adam visited but its just gone down again and its in pretty tough so cant really move it

Gets a bit annoying as it vibrates the whole car lol

adds character mate

my belief;

rings will smoke all the time spesh if you nip the throttle around 70-80mph.

seals will smoke if you leave it over night and will burn on start up, will clear when warm.

cvh with stem seals gone is near enough normal! the cam also wears it lobes down vastly after 40k miles, spesh on the lobes nearest the pully. get a kent cam in it.

also change the breather pot. clogs easily.

Rain pretty much all this week Hard to get time to spend on it with that

More to the point is money aswell as i have an I.o.u to pay off lol joys, the break in has meant buying a few things, good you spotted the steering lock mate which means it stands out

It now has immobiliser, alarm and steering lock so shouldnt have to worry bout it going missing!

I have Hammerite and the oil cap and wanna go at the engine with the gunk, and i am going to slowly collect bits for the engine over time and then get it all done at once

Oh and have sourced a red passenger door for £30, he might have a boot aswell but i cant get both in the car lol so door first

Only thing to do now is find a way of getting the door onto the car Ive been part of getting a mk4 door on and it was nothing short of a nightmare!

With the gunk, to save money you could use white spirit instead, does the same job and is alot cheaper

dave when u say use white spirit ..what does it do exactly ? just remove oil and grime or ??? and ade ... u know u got to pop to tesco for a value scouring pad
