Yeah I would love to do it, as its so simple... remove the inlet manifold, bolts straight up to the engine... fit a bigger belt, use a smaller focus alternator, re-route breathers, and unichip (which costs near on 500 alone)

But due to cost, stuff that.. looking at near on 2 grand to do it

Anyways on another note: - The glovebox light works... it only works with the lights on

The other week I replaced the Front Discs and Pads.. 3 hour job due to rusted on discs!

MOT time!

My check over found a front spring had snapped (common failure on these) So I replaced all 4 with brand new 40mm lowering springs.
On removal of the shocks I found that 2 were leaking, so replaced all 4 with KYB Gas filled shocks.
Replaced the Front and Rear ARB Droplinks
Replaced the rear brake shoes due to lack of handbrake efficency
Replaced both track rod ends
Replaced both front wishbones as it was rude not to
Had to replace a brake line which I broke on the rear going to the drum
Got 2 tyres fitted to my new 17" ST200 alloys
And got it tracked up

Went to MOT and it failed on corroded brake pipes front and rear, with the rears going through the subframe being an arse to sort... I got it done and it went into the MOT re-test yesturday morning and within 5 minutes I had my certificate and a road legal car

Spent a few hundred on it, but my god it drives soooooo much better now!

Here is SOME of the stuff I removed!


Next things to do are:-
Fit my Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, and new Oil
Fit and wire up the Ghia sun visors (with fancy lights in for the mirrors)
Fit aircon rad and get it gassed up

Thats it.. no more! Just drive it and keep it running!

I quite like subtle mods, specially on something like this.. not worth having "look at me!" slapped all over it

Oh yeah, I'm still after an ST stainless mesh grill for the front (and paint it black ) but due to people wanting near on £20 for one, I may just make one myself and lose the Ford badge in the process.

Was still tempted with ST bumpers/skirts also, but I doubt I'll ever do that... unless I find a cheap set, got some good ideas for one if I get hold of one tho!

Also still looking for all the parts to fit Cruise Control, which I will need shortly due to alot of A1 driving soon to be upon me every week

Mesh grille would look loads better, it would be havin ago at doing your own if it would work out alot cheaper, im gonna make one for my gf's car.

I'll only be making one myself if I can find some cheap mesh ... (b&q I would asume) doesnt matter about the quality of it as Im going to be spraying it black anyway!

On another note, due to pure bordom at work and my inability to stay off ebay for longer than a week without buying stuff, I have ordered some Savage tinting spray (to tint the rear lights like above!), Some smoked side repeaters & orange side rep bulbs
