its stamped on the slotted end...should be FZ1802...or 1802..i cant remember...the same spec as the 2001's...i bought them as barely used 2nd hand from a car that was being broken...then decided they were not hot enough for what i wanted to do at the time :doh: it just had the cams and followers..theyre not lairy enough to need the uprated springs in. :)

and to the best of my knowledge they were new from blank not regrounds...

the bottom pulley...the one that goes on the crank. that the aux belt runs off of the marks are on that..but the slot on the back was fecked..which means you can get it a fair bit out. as the slot where it sits on the lug is about 3 times wider than it should be! as i say. it was only supposed to be a temp thing to get it running. not supposed to be left like it! thats why it was most likely out. altho it would explain why it ran like dog shit when we tested that ITB kit out on it!
take the bottom pulley off...you wont have to disturb the cam belt. jus the alt belt..if the prev owner didnt mention it..he most likely hasnt seen it. just thought i'd point that out ;)

oh forgot to add...its got ARP rod bolts in too.

Cheers for that jam been really helpful! i will have a nose around at the cams when i get home. Off comes the rocker cover again.

You mean the slot which holds the bottom pully in place can i confirm you mean the small stud that comes out of the circle. The one that allows the pulley to only go one one way, that on? so if i loosen the bolt it may have play which could explain why the timing was so badly out then? I can only assume this pulley has been replaced as i timed the engine up of this marker! but if im thinking of the same place I just need to loosen the bolt holding the pulley on and check it, ive got about 5 spares anyway :P

I think we are on the same wave length now :lolz: :lolz:

Ive read Scorted sold it because he could never get it running right...Suppose this is the main reason why. also due to timing bein out it used to miss a little when cold...thats gone as well :chill: she runs mint now!! :chill: :chill:

yeah you got it ;)...just check it...slacken the bolt and try moving it side to side..if its all sloppy then its the funked one!!!

but yeah thats probs why it goes so well...so whens the 4 branch and bodies going on :lol:

no worries dude..i could have sworn they had supersport on them somewhere...best way to tell...did it have a hex on the shaft to use a spanner to turn them? if it did they are the kent ones that got put in it as ford ones dont have that casting :P
