thanks mint and hog

well went to it to finish the wiring and pumping off and we got starter motor on and then this happened

when the engine was out on the crane we turned the engine over by the crank pulley and it was fine had nice compression and was smooth, after fitting the engine we tried to start it but it wouldnt turn over, so we went try and turn the crank pulley again and the engine was really tight, so we took out the spark plugs and the engine would turn over but was still tight

could anyone know what the problem is at all and maybe a way of knowing what to do

we have poured oil down into bore and brake cleaner aswell this helped it out a bit any more idea would be nice

fitted the downpipe and cleaned the backbox a bit so its shinnyish now

we took the brakes off yesterday just to see what they was like and i was very very suprised what we found that not all the pad was touching the brake discs (not big pads in first place) and they got that warm that they all cracked up and had it

so still waiting on my v6 brakes but i dont think they will end up coming

not much happened as the brakes havent turned up so am off to find some tomorrow i recon and then get it in for a MOT see what else if anything it needs

got a switch to put fan on to as i seem to have took connector off for some reason

a mate said he got a spare rad witch is brand new so think i will go collect that soon as mine is covered in oil form before when it spat oil everywhere

so now the fiesta is near enough done i pulled my other car out the garage to fix lol my mum must love me taking over the drive

the nova looks worse than it is really no front end on and no engine thats why its high on the front

been working in my mates dads garage for past few week so ive ended up taking my car up there to fix only thing there hasnt been a ramp free yet but have changed fuel lines to the carbs as they had had it. also put battery back in boot and tidyied up the wiring at the front aswell fited the cut off switch back on so thats all working fine

should be going up saturday with my mate and do the car he a machanic also so then we doing the bottom arms and brakes and fitting mondeo brake master cylinder also got the new rad to fit also going to get gearbox off and get a new clutch in it while its on a ramp as its on its way than a new clutch cable

just bought a omex rev limiter and launch control so that will be fitted as soon as that is here then it wont matter so much if i miss a gear

then hopefully will have time to take it up to mot on some trade plates and insure it and then tax and i should be back out in it :D been waiting a while but taking it around the yard im loving the sound of them 40s again :D
