Not tax free, missed it by about 3 months :(

And all 1850 dolomites were RWD, no conversion needed. Makes cornering slow but entertaining :lol:

Ooh, I see what you mean now

They stopped the roll on for tax exemption in 98? locking it at '73.

Theres been a couple of petitions and stuff recently but there's no plans to bring it forward or start the roll on again because we classic car owners are damaging the environment apparently :nono:

The monza looks properly tidy 8-)

Right a proper update :) ive just acquired through the power of "second chance offer" a nice set of 15s with tyres :D 2 have about 5-6mm the other 2 have 7-8mm 195/45/15 TSW Imolas. A couple are a bit curbed but i was planning on refurbing them and spraying them white, but now not so sure. Sits like a bit of tractor but think it looks much better and it definitely handles better than the old ditch finders :)

Ive got a pair of ST150 brakes sitting in the shed dying to be fitted and also a second rear arb from WGS so theyll be going on asap :)

Took the beast down to see my friendly ford mechanic who had offered to get it up on the ramps and have a look over it. The underside is in excellent condition ill probably get it undersealed if it becomes a long term car :) Also for anybody looking at doing the twin ARB trick, that is getting a 2nd rear ARB flipping it upside down and mounting it in the same holes as the existing ARB, audi A2 bolts look like they'll be the perfect length. Ill get some pictures up once thats on.

The underbonnet smoke issue has been resolved :D the smoke was being caused by power steering fluid running onto the cat and burning off, coming through both the wheel arches and the top left of the engine bay. I have a little pinhole in the Steering rack Feed which sprays out a lot of fluid when on full lock, the fluid was then hitting the driveshaft and just covering everything. But ford want £80 for a new one :| just for the pipe. So im going to be sourcing one of those asap and in the meantime have been given another couple of bottles of fluid. woo.

Teeny update, fitted the polished TB earlier. Hasn't made a world of difference (obviously) but i would say the loud pedal feels a bit lighter and it seems to get through the high revs a bit quicker :)

To do list


fit 2nd arb
Lower 40-60mm
Replace PAS pipe
Get a New Door
Fit 278mm brakes (just waiting on goodridge hoses)
Replace Wiring loom
Tint rear lights and fit clear indicators (i.e. not orange ones)
Fit New Lower arms with polybushes.
