if its been repaired like you say with the new slam panel, bonnet, etc......I can't see the problem?

Cosmetically the car is fine.Its just the drivers side front damper is so far out of line that it sits against the chassis leg and when the strut moves up and down it rubs aggressively against the chassis and is going to really damage the brake line due to it hitting the brake line bracket.





not the best pictures and doesnt show how bad it really is.If you can imagine how the top of the suspension normally pops through the hole in the engine bay turret,its normally central...well for this side the best you can do is about an inch out

IS getting the chassis re-jigged an option? One of my mates stacked his car and was gunna get it sorted for about £400. He sold it tho otherwise he decided he would kill himself with it.

Its tempting to rebuild my xr2i zetec and use that but id rather leave it dormant for my project car.

Im guessing its been jigged already once before so i wouldnt attempt to re-jig it.It would only make it weaker.

better to be safe than sorry dude hopefully u can get another shell and use most of the parts from the bent one and sell the rest i will keep a look out for u mate
