Update....

Had a few pics sent about my baffled sump... Looks amazing work from Andrew @ www.aldevelopments.com







Really looking forward to seen this and updating when its all powder coated...

Thermostat painted...

Also i have ordered my Pistons and Rods, Crank been off to be polished and bearings all ordered up... Alot of £££ spent in next few weeks

Another parts update....

Well after taking all my hoses off the car all looking grubby i decied to clean them up a bit....



After a quick wipe down they come up really well....



Next was to check and clean up the injector loom...



Cleanned all the wires free of sticky glue, also the same on the casing.



Old tape...



All wrapped...





Now for the fuel rail, Spent a few hours polishing it up with autosol...





Also a brand new set of 701's to fit too....



Another nice brand new purchase was these....







Finally got a new Group A Cosworth filter too...



Should be also recieving my Baffled sump tomorrow, Collecting my pistons, rods & bearings on monday then down the machine shop... then re rebuild begins....

what does a baffled sump do exactly?

when your on a track and chucking it into a corner all the oil sloshes to the side of the sump and the oil pickup can suck air for a split second and run dry, a baffled sump prevents the oil sloshing about and keeps the oil pickup constanly imersed in oil so it never sucks air

Hello all...

Little bit of an update, been sorting out a few loose ends....

Baffled sump....









Also flatted and painted my strut brace





Strip down of my St3 Port and Polished head ready to be cleaned...









Also an addidtion for the cam and lifters too...



Finally built up my inlet too.. All crackle painted, polished fuel rail, beige injectors, all good to go...









Last but not least i have brought a 6 point cage thats going to be painted white...









With regards the pistons and rods i was waiting for them to come from germany but now been advised all good to go... So fingers crossed next few weeks the build will kick off...

Hello all,

Been a long time since i have updated this thread...

I have been spending a bit of £££















So now i have got all of these i have dropped it all off to the machine shop to get block honed for pistons and also fit rods...

Also while it was out decided to clean up the box and give it a lick of paint...









Hopefully get the block back and all bits ready to be built up over the next few weeks then get a few miles on it before the really bad weather sets in...

Hello all....

here is a long overdue update.....

I have stripped down the front part of the rollcage and had it painted...









And the colour i decided to go with to match my track wheels... Nissan White Cotton



Getting all preped for the etch primer...





Now Painted









Also while paint was in the gun so to speak i decided on doing this too....





Painted...







I guess only time will tell if that will be the right decision... lol

As you can see i have got the block, crank, pistons attached to rods



It seems a shame to fit them to the engine they are a work of art...!!

So the bottom end light build up has started...

Fitted pistons and rods to block, also crank and main and big ends...







Fitted with ARP Bolts...



I have also brought some sealant to help the build along...



Hopefully ensure of no leaks

Also on my ebay hunt i have come across the 1.8cvh Rocker cover with cap for 99p



Another ebay buy has been the Cosworth rear exhaust housing .48 i need to use due to the slight relocation of my turbo with the tubular manifold.



Hopefully look like this...



Then just need somebody to make me a custom downpipe like so...



So all in all its a step in the right direction..

Next month will be fitting all the oil pump, water pump, rear cover. Then will be onto the build of the head.
