you should never mask things off when painting liek that mate, leaves obviously lines at the edge of the painted area, takes years to wet and dry it out too, you got to blend it in without masking


car looks good, good effort for sticking it out through the rust, few ould take the 1.4 so seriously

keep at it, btw Zetec s wheels suit the Si down to the ground, as do most multispokes

ta jony mate. yeah i have multispokes now like but they're too wide, arch scrubbage will be at maximum mate.

that looks like a great job chris just a bit flat... maybe a bit of polish would have sorted that out? lol, mate my paintwork is far from good, even before i DIY'd it. so one day, i will be able to afford a full respray, trust me and the car won't be going anywhere touch wood!

A bit flat? its just oversprayed everywhere and there is no shine anymore, Trust me we T-cutted the F*** out of it and nothing good happened. Lets just compare it to what the paintwork did look like:

Oh and I said that about my first Si, but after doing stuff like spraying things and ruining it I just ended up selling it for pennies and getting another one! Trust me, it would be cheaper getting another one than a respray!

Small dents because I thought I would do it well because I'd done my skirts and bit of my arches. but it just ruined it even more.

I was young it all looked rubbish the car was a shed and I fucked it more with 17"s and lexus lights. I spent so much time on ebay
(4+ hours a night at work) I would just buy random rubbish I could afford and stick it on

Its up to you man, but if you won't be able to just "blend it" to look right with the paintwork on there now, you'll have to do a whole panel, or you'll always end up with overspray like I have just shown you, and even if you did a whole panel, it'll look flat and Sh*t.

Learn from my mistakes!! It won't work! no matter where your spraying

lol fair play, i was the same when i bought it but i took all that shit off and started from scratch. and tbf, the aim was to 'de-rust' not paint a masterpeice. i havent noticed once i have sprayed it, so it cant be that bad. might not blend it because i think it would make it worse (after seeing your pics lol)!

Problem is the rust just comes back soon enough anyway unless cut out, but it'll be alright for alittle bit I guess and thats all the matter, i'm not having a go i'm just saying from personal experience don't mess around spraying body parts with spray cans

Seen a few cars on rat-look painted with plastikote paint (to a high standard) and it looks the tits
