some how its worked out cheaper to insure the cossie than it did to insure my 2.0 fez :hmm:

there is some advantages to getting old :hsugh:

right before you lot jump on the band wagon, i'll have you know this car has been spot on since the day i bought it, started on every turn of the key

this was just one of those things :hsugh:

right here goes...

well today i headed to see boost mad, i was only roughly 3 miles from his house when i came to a small bend in the road doing about 30mph+- i dropped it a gear to 3rd or 4th cant remember just to get myself moving along a bit quicker

i suddenly lost all power with battery lights on, so i switched off the ignition and switched it back on again thinking i'd stalled the damn thing :lolz:

there was nothing, but i did hear a pop on the exhaust which i thought was a bit odd!

so i pulled over gave alex(boost mad) a bell he came over to check somethings for me, as i have very little if any experience with a cossie :red:

alex checked for a spark, there wasn't one

he at first thought it was the phase sensor, which looked a bit crusty! :lolz:

but i needed to get home so called the RAC the dude came out, he got my to check for a spark again, after finding out for a second time that there was no spark, he then landed a bomb shell and a half!!...

he said the cam's were not turning and i should expect an expensive bill :lolz:

alex came back to mine and took the cam belt cover off and it is confirmed that the cam belt has shed some teeth at the crank :cry:

going to start removing hoses and the loom tomorrow ready to have the head removed!

sooo.. my cossie wont be at RS national day or fitp this year :cry:

i think she is a bit pissed off... i had my old 2.0 Si scrapped on sat, i think i touched a nerve! :hsugh:

she's ready for a strip down and head removing :thumbsup:

, we think i have bent a few valves as to how many is not known yet until the head is removed for inspection!

she'll be back

all i can say is least it happened at a low speed i know it might not make much difference but i'm hoping i didn't do as much damage

could of been worse... like on a passenger ride :hsugh:

ford fair might be do able
