I'm going to source (and it isn't going to be quick, easy or cheap to do one of these) the 2.5 version. There's a slightly modified one with VVT and extra features on the ECU.

Yeah I see where you're coming from :)

Aim is to first clean up the shell. The panels have odd bits of rust but the shell is in decent condition. Done the brakes, next is the suspension and uprating some of those parts. The engine is last, by a long way. I like a nice drive first then silly power is after.

once you have the coilies, get the body sorted then start looking at th eengine. yes it might be expensive, but if you spread it over a length of time like i have it doesnt seem that bad :P

Maintain the car over winter, with no garage it's going to be far too damn cold to do anything that's not a "have to do". One of those have to's is the front wheel bearings, so going to order some replacement track rod end split pins and hub nuts, get the carriers off and then take them round to a garage to press out and in.
