Before anyone wonders why the hell it was like that...


Its still used daily, and as you may not be aware but primer lets water in and can cause rust under it, and as alot of primer was on the car we covered it up with proper paint... which than led to a mass of randomness all over it

The great thing is, its a 10 minute job to go round it all and get it ready for primer later this week

Then its guide coat and flat it down...

Then its paint and laquer

Flat & Polish

Wheels, leccy mirrors, locking and windows, maybe some window tint, and a good interior clean. Job done!


Then I'll be in love with it once again, and you'll see it at FITP

(engine bay will be done when I eventually take the engine out to fit PAS, do timing belt and general tidy up of engine and maybe some mods. But that can wait)

19/04/09 - Update!

Its all flatted down and bodywork is all done.

Its all masked up and bits removed.

Going to be in primer tomorrow


Then its flat down and ready for paint.. various other bits will get done an another day now as I've got my run-a-bout till the end of the month so we don't have to rush it in a few days as planned

Well here we go again.

Here is the pickup in primer, which is all flatted down now awaiting some proper paint




Along with the new set of wheels, awaiting paint


You shall see the finished article in a few weeks!




But the thing I am best pleased about this weekend are these new brakes!

See compared to the standard fiesta vented ones! (new ones at bottom lol)



They are..
MK3 Mondeo Calipers
MK3 Mondeo Pads
Focus ST170 Disks - 300mm

12mm holes drilled out on the hubs already

Bolt straight on, no spacing, just cut down the bolt if its too long. Job done!

Don't fit 15's.....



16's are a must


Best of all, its cost me a hell of alot less than the usual cosworth brake upgrade and they are 300mm so I should bloody stop now

DONE DONE DONE - Few days to go till FITP too wooop!

As Ive said before no pictures till FITP now

But basically all I need to do now, is quickly wire up some lights, tidy the interior and job done!

Brakes wise, I need an escort servo as mine is pants, but brakes still work..
Suspension wise, front coilovers need a refurb and/or replacing as they have shat themselves and is making me a very bouncy ride

Other than that I'm bloody well happy!!!

Just spoke to AVO, its around £50+vat to rebuild a shock, were as they want £150 each per new one, so I best find some 35/40mm front springs to sit the front end on and send the shocks away for repair.. bit worried tho as they look like they have had a hard life, looks battered etc, so I hope AVO don't just say I need new ones, I'll clean them before I send them lol.

Im not sure i believe that's the pic of the pick up fella...you were spraying the alloys white above :S

that colour on the side of the custom paint almost looks like a pearl java blue

I cant wait to see her finally in the metal...im still yet to see it

The primer was a light shade of green actually

MK3.5 panel was not needed as 1) its a hassle and 2) the pickup was done on a budget and 3) it looks better with mk3 cap

I shall not reveil anything else, and you can wait till Sunday

On another note.. I need some 35/40mm front springs if anyone has any
