Sooooo would we like an update?

Had someone round Sunday, whacked another ECU on and it fired, 2 seconds later PING. Crankshaft pulley bolt came loose :lolz:

Shipped it to my mates garage to be looked at, definately bent some valves, unsure on how many but will find out monday, i've just been kindly donated 16 valves by a mate!! :D So all is looking good. Should be fixed on tuesday as we wont come across all the little hassles we had before with the last fix!

just as a pointer .. (average figures) when you crank an engine over it is going from 0 rpm to over 1000 rpm within a second. at this speed the piston weighs 50 times what it used to weigh. 50x the piston weight moving up and down 1000 times a minute into a valve moving the opposite direction. even if it was one more hit .. imagine the forces involved :shock: im not saying they 100% will be fucked but think about it and think about all the hassle if it goes bang AGAIN lol :thumbsup:

but what you checking for?

the indents in the crowns alone says they have taken a smacking, and obviously they have as you bent 16 valves first time and now another load, if your lucky to see any damage it might be a hairline crack id imagine, i doutb it though, theyw ill be covered in coke andits likely the damage is under the surface, if theyre terminal soon as you rev it hard or after it gets nice and hot in there they will just fall to pieces


in any case id say fuck it run them to the ground, but then once the piston collapses the conrod and gudgeon pin will still be going up and down in the cylinder, and ive actually seen a gudgeon pin gouge 3 massive holes up the bore lining completely writing off the block
not to mention the 100 pieces of piston in the sump


my advice... ditch the engine
that duratec you decided against is sounding pretty ripe now lol

Danny has been hired to help as I don't know how much more of my car after work my mate can take, working 14 hours each day is probably a bit of a ass for him!
