We did keep hoping my C2 and the other halfs C3 would get it on and give us a little C1, now its the focus and C2 I am not sure what the babies would be!

I to am interested in the power output of this, as you say its running well so I am hoping to see 125-135bhp.

I have had 131bhp but I will add you only have a true comparison if you run on the same rollers on the same day but I do expect you to have similar power.

With that if you get similar power your fiesta should be the faster in a straight line (due to weight), but the wonders of the modern car design means the C2 would dance around the fiesta in the twistys!

sorry but i dont agree with that last part

the mk3.5 (mk4 and 5 matching) chassis is renowned to be one of the best ford have made on they're smaller cars

only the recent mk6 and 7 have been better

mind saying that, i once seen a C2 do its dancing, it fucking pelted round this round about at about 60 i was massively impressed

well today me, danny and kris went with ZSOC to GotBoost in brackla Bridgend for the rolling road day

first off, great seeing everyone, was a fantastic day, thoroughly enjoyed myself

about 15 of us run, went diesels first then down in order of age, descending, so i was one but last lmao, but after elward turned up he was put to the back of the que

all figures given at the flywheel!

the mondeo ST TDCI made about 180bhp and over 350lbs!

next best down was a chaps mk2 XR2, 2.0 zetec on bodies 4-2-1 etc, made 166bhp but only 126lbs

the mk4 1.7 with sports cams, 4-2-1 and remapped etc made 140bhp, but a low 100lbs of torque

kris made 108bhp, danny made 99bhp

on to me :)

run
Image

Video

print out: made 126bhp and 126.4lbs/ft of torque (which was the most torque made out of any of the petrol 2.0 or less run)

very chuffed, power is down however, i was informed how the car is overfueling quite badly, graph shows how its as low as 11 parts to 1
i was told to sort out the exhaust blow at the flexy, and the lambda should sort itself out as its reading too much oxygen in the system due to the leak, after that it should cure most issue sand produce more power

Image

this is a comparison with the escort Gti that was run, it was rebuilt 400miles ago and only has a 4-2-1, that made 127bhp and 100lbs, but the power/torque curves really do speak for themselves, mine was far smoother and progressive

Image

so result.. sort exhaust blow and it should get better, if not the lambda is misbehaving and overfueling it, i needs sorting though as if i continue to run it like that for the years to come it will get clogged up full of carbon in the cylinders and exhaust etc

will take it to be run again in the near future to see if its improved after sorting it

ill make a thread of the pictures i took :)

Exhaust makes a huge difference if shagged imo, mines a mess so im pretty sure it would make more if sorted.

what are the red and blue lines - two different runs?

Also where is BHP? All I see is LB/FT and WHP!

yeah the red and blue lines are 2 different runs.

the readings we got was at the wheels. mind you the torque figure on jonys was at the fly for some reason whereas mine, elwards garys was at the wheels. :?

yea like dan said, the fiestas got a read of lbs at the fly on the print out but the power was at wheels

red was run 1 and blue was num 2, chart at the bottom is the air fuel ratio, as you can see mine was appalling, really need that sorted, because its down 1.5bhp from standard hahah

they didnt print out the Flywheel figure they just called you over and showed you there wizardry and flywheel figure and what you could do to improve, i wasnt looking for massive figures just 100bhp or a bit more as a base figure so that i know im modding in the right way.

Good figure jony quite surprised to see it make 126 at the fly.

really? i was slighty disappointed myself,

the torque im very impressed with, standard Rs1800's make 128bhp and 119lbs, so where my extra lbs come from im not sure, but it more than makes it feel more powerful on the road, as i get that surge at about 2300rpm and again at 3700rpm :D

which you can really feel

nah i dont think its just that..

i gotta feeling the exhaust is fudged. on isoc they reckon the cat mite have had it, which i hope so, gives me an excuse to buy a 4-2-1 lol

the exhaust rattles its tits off though, so theres gota be something up with it.
